The rankings are Test rankings I believe. On the right hand side, in a red table is ODI rankings.

test ranking then how come Ireland and Scotland got ranking? i think miraz bhai is right its the ranking from 2005 but they should mention that. but if you see fifa schedules you will find they always put the current ranking. it doesn't matter what was the ranking during the schedule. cause its now when we were reading it...

ICC site may have been hacked. That schedule does not match with the one published from the official World Cup site. Besides, the wordings in the ICC WC playing conditions are different too.

I'm attaching a screen capture of that schedule here for the record:

So, our first 2nd round match will be against Australia on March 31. Good that it's a Saturday.

"If you qualify by beating the better ranked team in your group, you will be placed ahead." - This is what ICC is saying.

Although this might seem unfair - The competition among the top 8 nations in cricket is way more closer than soccer world cup. An 8 ranked can beat a 2nd ranked team anyday. That is why ICC did it and they know its not going to be a big concern among public.

The dog wants to bark... let it bark.. why are you wasting your time on that? Just be calm and enjoy BD win on Mar 17th.
