If I was Tushar Imran...
If I was Tushar Imran...I would leave Bangladesh, try get British citizenship, join a lowe county like Gloucs. They would almost surely take him as he's played international cricket and hit 50's, also if he had citizenship he wouldn't be regarded as one of their foreign players. He doesn't play international cricket anymore even though he's probably good enough so he wouldn't miss a lot of games and be replaced (like what happened with Abdur Razzaq and Middlesex)

Tushar is good but not good enough. He suffers from BBS (Bangladeshi Batsman Syndrome) where he tries to play too many shots too early and gets out. He's still yet to learn where his off stump is ( he was out twice in successive matches against the WI last year while trying to leave an incoming ball) and also hasn't perfected his cover drive (see his dismissals against Pakistan and the one against Kenya while he was on 48); also he has a suspect temperment and repeatedly wilts under pressure.
On the bright side, Tushar is a gem to watch when he's flowing freely and has all the shots in the book (although, as mentioned above, not all of them are perfected). He needs more A team tours.

I agree with Sameercreep - Tushar needs more A team tours.

No county would take his on right now as he would count against their 'overseas player' qouta. He might have better luck in village cricket with a team known for bringing on the odd curiousity like Lashings.
BTW, Samircreep, I would copyright thet term 'BBS'... All joking aside, I've begun to wonder if there may be a physiological, pshchological or a sociological basis to the kind of indiscriminate cross-batting we are treated to by our batsmen. Habibul Bashar seems to have discovered an antidote though.

Habibul Bashar can't play anything on the leg side that is, his wrist work is very poor considering that wristwork while batting is a tradition for the subcontinent players.
I wouldn't go that far, but his batting is like somekind of Ganguly, very good on the off-side. And since I have mentioned Ganguly's name, the difference between Bashar and Ganguly is that Ganguly had tried his best to rectify his weakness playing on the on-side, whereas Bashar, until the last England tour, has not tried to rectify his weakness.

That is Habibul Bashar's antidote on not playing cross batted shots.

Okay, so we have coined two new cricketing terms for consideration by wisden: 'BBS and the "Bashar vaccine"'.

Hold on
If I read Samir's post correctly, he defined BBS as the tendency to play too many shots too early, NOT play cross batted shots.
If that is the case, then Habibul Bashar has one of the worst cases of BBS. Habibul Bashar's main weaknesses is that he plays too many shots too early. If he can survive that first half hour of madness, he scores lots. But how many times have we seen him get out flashing at the second ball he faced? Bashar almost personifies the BBS. Rokon isn't far behind.

No I was saying if he gets citizenship then he would be regarded as a pom and the could pick him without being regarded a foreign player

BBS....thats a good one.
I think the only one who has a low 'BBS count' in his blood is Rajin Saleh.
Of course he too gets bouts of it sometimes...but u get my point.

Yes, like starting off his account with a couple of boundaries within the first 2 balls. As captain I hope he stops this nonsense and starts with a new leaf in his career.

I am really impressed by Hannan Sarker...I've just been watching some tapes of him recently and I think he's got a low BBS count too

I think that Hannan Sarkar's recent form has got to do a lot with his age.
I was checking the younger players' ages - which year they were born, and Hannan would be exactly 22 years old this year.
I am making up a new thread on this new-discovery of mine.
