Of course happy to be proven wrong, but I have zero hopes of him making it big and wouldn't mention his name along with Taskin, Shafi or Rubel.

There is every chance he could become a zero exactly like Dolar Mahmud but I just think it's far too early still to say that. Don't forget Shafiul and Rubel also started off slowly, especially Shafiul and people back in the day wanted to drop him immediately. Now look what happened? Not saying he's great but he's played a massive part in many of our wins against the G8 teams in ODI's. Abul's just basically played 1 series. T20's are hard to judge, especially for young pacers since it's a batsman's game. Give him a few more series and see what he does.
By the way, does anybody know what happened to Kamrul Islam Rabbi? He was a young promising pacer as well. I feel he should be considered as well.

I hope Abul doesn't come back to haunt us with a fifer or something lol. I agree he has been poor but i think we can't forget that he did bowl well in a couple of ODIs against WI (or was it the one match where he opened with Mashrafe?)

he has the tools, unfortunately many BD pacers who start off with a good base game and the tools to succeed never seem to develop into an international quality bowler.

Nah, if you look back even when Shafi was going for 9+ RPO in Asia cup, I backed him. That's because I saw him bowl well despite his poor start. Same with Rubel - quickest bowler of the lot and he got good reverse of the old ball. I have seen nothing much of that sort in Abul - neither does he have raw pace, nor he is able to get his length right consistently or move the ball.
Rabbi got a 5fer vs Chittagong and played for South zone. Nothing phenomenal, not poor that's all. I was looking forward to see Al Amin Hossain play too. Failed in BPL, but could do well in FC.

^Fair enough I guess we'll just wait and see how Abul turns out. Coach Shane likes him so there's obviously something he likes that we're not seeing. I wasn't too impressed with Al-Amin to be honest. I did like Kamrul Islam Rabbi. He and Alauddin should also get looks as well

I see potential in Abul, I have also seen him reverse swing. It is too early to get rid of him. Its not only Jurgensen, Stuart Law also saw good potential in Raju. I have not seen enough of Rabbi only saw footage in YouTube.

One thing I don't understand is his pace or the lack of it in this year's BPL, check out this video of him in BPL 1, where he also got smacked around but he had more than decent pace. The first ball in the video shows him bowling at 139.6 km/h !!!! what happened??? now he barely bowls at 130 km/h...

Don't blame him. I blame who picks him.
But I do blame him for not know g what is “basic” for a fast bowler

His only 20, talk about basic's.. no A level tours and he gets drafted in. Then again we can't blame Abul Hasan, even if Shaiful, Rubel et all played they would average and do the same. look at past history of our pacers in overseas condition esp Sri Lanka. I think Mushy should have bowled more spin ( More use of Elias, Mahmudullah)

not only our pacer stock is empty but we also don't have any role model who can inspire the young ones like Abul or RObiul,
what will Abul learn when he looks at senior players like Shahadat?
Taskin on the other hand is the only bowler who looks motivated, hungry for wickets, if I had an Alauddiner cherag my wish would be to bring Taskin for the 2nd Test & make sure Abul & Shahadat don't play in near future, specially for Shahadat it better be permanent, he has nothing left in him to give.

The only thing I liked about Abul is his Pace! Its the first time I have seen any Bangladeshi bowler hit 140 Kph consistenly in first few overs After Rubel. He needs to be developed in A team tours and domestic.

Jersensen working with him for more than a year now and still couldn't improve him a bit. Not only him he couldn't improve any pacers. He didn't even work with any new ones.
We need a new pace bowling coach. These young pacers need a coach like Ian Pont.
Abul has pace. He has potential.

no coach can do nada.
ageo bolchi, ghora diya haal chash hoyna.
he keeps bowling on leg..what a ...
Having said that Jogashon is a good for nothing coach.
But Mashrafee under Ian Pont during BPL2 was awful, on the other hand ALfonso was amazing.
There is something called natural skills & I'm afraid none of our pacers have that, except probably TajKing.

Simon bhai he is still young and inexperienced.
With a coach like Ian Pont he will become a good bowler.
A good bowling coach can change any bowlers.

ya probably a good bowler in our standards, but not good enough in international standard.
Offcourse it's only my personal opinion/guess.
What we need is to encourage young stars to take pace bowling and keep finding new talents.
Keep Abul away for atleast one more year and meanwhile I would like to see more of Rubel,TajKing,Nazmul & even Shafiul

Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, Abul will be here for a while. It's not like we have Steyns and Morkels just sitting around. So we have to live through his growing pains. He along with Shahadat wasted the new ball. He did better but still sprayed it around too much

We might not have Steyn or Morkel but we still have likes of Nazmul, Shafiul and Taskin etc. All of them cant do any worse than Abul. There are also some pacers like Abu Jayed or Sajidul who seems promising to me. And Abul seems like a slow learner like Sir Ash, he has played a few series now but still erratic and indsiciplined as he first started. No improvement

at first you should wish BD to have chance to bowl them more than one innings, then few fluke wicket & century for him.
