Default We should plan to choke West Indies with spin

Just like India are doing it today.

WI seemed to have struggled to get off the blocks against spin, especially Mishra and Ashwin. I think Shakib, Riad and few others will be key against West Indies day after tomorrow. Hopefully, we will win the toss and field first although there does not seem to be much dew in the cricket.

Our bowlers aren't quality. We don't have a Dhoni either.

Shakib will be key here.

To be honest, Ashwin and Mishra aren't the best bowlers in the world either. If we bowl our usual line and length WI will struggle the same as what happened in Afghanistan, although routing them for 72 is highly unlikely. I suppose WI will score double of 72 which is 144 but still a mediocre score on this ground given that India are currently destorying Windies attack and almost 380 runs were scored in the previous match.

They have a decent bowling attack too. We should win though insha Allah.

Just win the toss and bowl first! don't dare to BAT first! Our bowlers will have nerves all-round if Gayle fires.! So far, except Pakistan most games have been won chasing, don't make life hard. if we bowl first against WI we can restrict them below 120. due is big factor if we decide to bat first, and most opposition will take advatage while chasing.

I think Mash will be key here against Gayle and the hack named Smith.

But Al-amin is likely to get carved

Kumar can bowl 140kph and swings both. Rassel had swing but not pace.

I agree but both have a level of variations in their armory. In T20, when batsman attacks you, variety is the key. In ODI good line length is good enough in these pitches.

Kumar always bowls well against Gayle, IPL tested. In fact he's good against all lefties.

This is what Raina said a day before :ndia's Suresh Raina says that most of the top-order West Indies batsmen prefer playing big shots rather than rotating strike against spinners, an area which he feels can be exploited by Amit Mishra and Co when the two teams square off in the ICC World T20 here tomorrow.

Even shak gives 4 runs in 4 over. There are lots of chagols will make it up so Shakib is not the key of our bowling attack. Key is how well can we bowl other 16 overs excluding shaks 4??

With the form Riyad is I expect 4 decent overs and given Mashrafee doesnt bowl in the death thats 4 good overs.

Now lets see what happens in the other 8 overs. I think Zia, Momin, Gazi will take care of the rest.

Just came back from the ground.

Everyone was so surprised to see WI approach. WI players body language was so bad. The way top order batted, it seemed they did not want to play today. Highly disappointed with WI team but at the same time, good to see WI in this bad form. If BD can play 100%, WI will have a tough time to beat BD.

And if we can beat WI, our players will get back their motivation to take on the next target...

Tbh I think WI will be even more charged up to beat Bangladesh as this is a must win game for them as they lost to India already, so I think Bangladesh may even get a thrashing....

Definitely but that would be our strength to bank on their overcharging intent.

It's a lose-lose situation here:

If we win- we will get complacent and lose rest of the games
If we lose- we will get depressed and lose rest of the games

^ Based on your hypothesis, it is win-lose-lose which is better than lose-lose-lose

that is so true

when we face big team--- oh no, we can't win against them

when we face associates-- who cares them, we will beat them easily, no sweat

how u can improve then

u can't just depend on shakib to win all match for us, what will happen when he has a bad day

^ Put the future on these U-19/Ban-A guys. They are lucky enough to be growing up in a country whose national team is being plagued with these basic issues. The more I think about it, the more I like Mominul not celebrating his innings. People are saying Anamul plays selfishly for his tons, and gets out after that, but he's learning, and his performance is showing. Taskin and Taijul seems like our future bowlers based on their numbers and reputation. So good days ahead for sure. If Mushi and co. won't learn from their errors then the young blood should.

Hmm. What if Narine, Badree and Samuel choke us?

Lets just hope Abdur Razzak does not get murdered by Gayle or Samuel. The other batsmen are ok.

We did pretty well against Narine the last time WI toured us.
