Don't get me wrong I like the way he bats..his defense and his technique..that's why he needs more time to concentrate on batting to become a good solid batsman..
Reasons for my concerns :
1. missed so many catches in so many series due to EXCITEMENT
2. missed so many stumpings in all forms of game due to EXCITEMENT
3. current series against Pakistan he was the main reason for team's both innings failure after a solid stand..again due to his EXCITEMENT
4. as a captain he is too young and immatured to lead
Solutions:
1. new captain MUST
2. new keeper MUST to the INFINITY !
3. Mushfiq shud be kept only as a specialized batsman.
Any thoughts?

What???!!!!
He was batting with Elias Cloudy, Rajib, Nazmul, and Robiul. 3 genuine #11s and a legit #10. He would be better off with 4 chris martin's batting with him. He had to go for some quick hits and runs. We were never going to draw this match.
But I agree, he should give up the gloves. Shakib wasn't any better a captain than Mushy, neither was Ash. They were all the same. Fact, maybe Ash was our best captain...our best bowling figures have come under his watch (Shakib 7/36 and Rajib 6/27) against G8 sides.
Mushy needs to be more aggressive, but he's not doing too badly. Only other option is Shakib and he already has to hit hundreds and take fivers. But we need another wicket keeper.

The first thing is to take the gloves from his hand and shut up that "come on, boy!" His keeping puts us in 100+ hole in almost every match, I think. Dhiman should be in the team. From Shahadat, Nazmul, and Robiul, keep Nazmul, bring back Rubel, and bring in Dhiman.

I think Mushfiq should voluntarily give up the captaincy before things get ugly. He made a huge mistake in the first place by accepting it after Shakib. The fans will never give him a fair chance. Every minor error he makes will be magnified. Even after two years as captain performances such as 78 and 58 and series loss to Zimbabwe are acceptable but losing to one of the best sides in only his second series as captain is not. Mind you the previous captain, in his whole tenure, failed to win a single match against an Asian team. Doesn't matter who takes the captaincy. Give it back to Shakib and let him a run a two-tier system where one set of players don't have to show up to training. Doesn't matter if from 78 and 58 we go to 38 next. Or even better give it to someone like Riyad or Nafees and let them "inspire" the team with their dropped catches and edgy batting.

From this series, I can begin to see the nucleus of a team:
Tamim
Mushfiq [ not for me Nazim; I know he has hit a 78. But give him time, he is no better than another Imrul ]
Nafees
Mahmudullah [ I am glad they have finally seen the light; probably Law saw it . Also, post Shakib, have proved a good bowler. Ramiz was saying that in the Pak dressing room they were reasonably impressed with him. Gave Taufiq a torrid time ]
Nasir
Shakib
Dhiman
Naeem / Farhad [ Here I am in a bit of a quandary. For lack of any specialism, I can choose either to strengthen the batting / bowling. I like Farhad's fighting qualities ]
Elias
Nazmul [ Very impressed. If you are going to bowl at 125kph, might as well be accurate. He is certainly better than most ]
Rubel
Mushfiq and Nafees can switch around. Mushfiq should not be given the gloves in a test. ODi's are OK provided we can get another batsman to replace Dhiman.
Momin can be in the wings.

With all due respect, I disagree.
Mushfiq didn't ask for the captaincy and he's not responsible for sacking Shakib either. All credits go to the BCB.
Well, now that he's our captain, we need to be patient with him and allow him to make mistakes and learn from it. I believe he discusses his game plan with Shakib/Tamim and the team. He even takes Shakib's advice during the game! (ie. Mushfiq used Shahadat on Shakib's advice due to the poor lighting on day 5).
Shakib has been a key performer for our team...he is even more productive now 'cause he' doesn't have the captaincy's burden...it allowes him to focus on his performance even more. Along with Shakib, if Tamim, Rubel, Nasir, Mushfiq performs at the same time, we'll have a strong team in the future. I believe we'll be in 8th position in 2012, iA....we just had an off year....by 2013/2014, we'll be in 7th position iA.
-------------------------------------
hiring/firing isn't the solution to the problem...consistent performance is the solution...for God's sake, they're all very young...

i will sticky by my 'deranged acrobat' ode.... As much as he has been sloppy we have to continue with his leadership. If he delivers with bat then all the better. Fielding in general has been disastrous.

To be frank, apart from Shakib, no players seem to have any idea about on going game. Haven't seen any players going to Mushy or Bowlers and talking to him.

I disagree. We don't need 11 captains out there on the field just one sensible one is enough. Giving advice after every delivery and going into specifics is only going to muddle a bowler's thinking process and hinder his own development. Shakib of course being a great player that he is can come up and offer suggestions but you don't want to be yapping like Younis Khan at all. This is not school cricket its an international game, the bowlers should come up with the plan and captains may tweak it a little bit and try some improvisations here and there to get results.
The only questions mushy should be asking the bowlers is about what plans the bowler has for the batsman out there and what kind of field setting would assist that plan. If the bowler doesn't have a clue then that guy is simply not international material.
