BPL pitches are to explain for our poor show in T20Is
If one can see, our batsman have no clue on how to bat on flat tracks or how to chase big totals. This happens because the pitches in BPL are poor.
Mind you not Bowler friendly, they have uneven bounce and rough patches. What also happens is that bowlers don't have to bowl good deliveries or Yorkers often because the batsman are always struggling and hence they don't get the necessary challenge
Hopefully pitches this time will be better.
Also, we might need a seperate domestic tournament for T20s with 4-6 team consisting of only local cricketers. That will mean more cricket year round and better skill for T20Is and also will help our poor performances in the last 15 overs in ODIs

pitches will never be better untill we move away from playing only in DHK and CTG, how can one expect the pitch to be a better pitch if you play 10-15 games on avg in a pitch

Bowling unlimited full tosses, half volleys, short outside off and leg has NOTHING to do with playing conditions. T20 cricket requires very controlled bowling where u bowl strictly according to your field and read the batsmen because they tend to premeditate a lot in this format. The format also requires the bowlers to be innovative and have variations in their armory. Our bowlers neither have accuracy or variation and thats why we are so terrible in this format.

Maybe partly, need 160-180 par pitches, 130 or 220 pitches don't develop skills

I am being format specific too. You can get away with not being innovative and hyper accurate in other formats. Not in T20.

Chances are even if we develop 160-180 wickets, we ll still keep struggling in T20.
The format requires a special caliber of players-which we have largely failed to produce. Big hitters, innovative hitters, good death bowlers. Even spin, you need some sort of x factor. And here we cant even produce a leg spinner.
But i do agree with MHRAM. At least some high scoring wickets could give some of the players some confidence. At least, if the national players score some runs they ll gain sth. The logic provided by Nightwolf is precisely the reason why these wickets produce low scores. And we dont have the facility of using drop in pitches. So these wear out due to the high number of matches-which is why the game has spread out.
