Default post valentines day ramblings

guys here we shall share our experience.

So i had work on this day... obviously, there is a false sense of euphoria that sorrounds you, everyone is talking about their plans and how they wanna go home early to their husbands and boyfriends. But i had longer hours, i was on call.... so i gave up hope on love...

i come home late and i hear the most interesting story from my enemy that i share the bed with. i am confused as to how i should feel.

so she knows i would arrive home late, so after work, she goes and gets a chinese massage. wtf Why would u do that on this particular day?

After getting her little fix up, she apparently on her way home, takes a detours to, buy me golda chingri. And no she doesnt visit 1 store, she visited 6 different bangali restaurant on two different county looking for golda chingri. no luck. in one store (2nd one), she parked in front of a fire-hydrant and got a 150 dollars ticket but that didnt stop her, she kept going and parked illegally all over the city just to find me that bangladeshi prawn cooked the way i like it.

listening to this story, i almost believed in love again... but then at the end of the day, one thing is missing....the most important thing..... golda chingri.....

if love existed golda chingri would have been there. prawns could have been cooked instead of she being cooked in a massage station....

so dear bc bondhus".......i am heart broken today...... it is official, love doesnt exist.

I always told Jadukorni... valentines day is overrated but interestingly every year that particular day turned out to be something special even though we didn't plan to.

I remember in 2011 the iron maiden concert in Singapore was on the 15th... so we traveled to Singapore a few days earlier and ended up spending the valentines day evening on a cable car dinner somewhere near Sentosa. In 2012 we were coincidentally again in Malaysia during February after having endured the terrible flood in Thailand and ended up having a wonderful dinner at the Traders Hotel restaurant overlooking the Petronus Towers.

This year we were in Thailand and we really had nothing planned. On my way back from work on the 14th i was instructed to stop at the mall to pick up groceries. As I went into the mall, it really hit me how important the day is for so many people! There were lots of nicely decorated new stalls, heart shaped balloons, flowers, cakes etc and there were tons of people still frantically buying valentines day gifts. At that point i remembered the previous years and I felt I was missing out and also letting Jadukorni miss out on the excitement and I decided to pick up a Dior perfume and a bunch of roses. Jadukorni was totally taken buy surprise because of the gift and roses and also because i had totally forgotten the groceries.

ps. next day i found nicely wrapped Avengers special edition blu ray next to the bedside table.

yeah, i have been waiting for it to have a mini crash for past 3 weeks and it kept on crawling up...there are wayyy too much money on the sideline pouring in. i missed out.... got some bad luck, stock starts to move when i selll, and they are stagnant or go down when i buy lol....

i hate sitting on sideline.......waiting to get back in for past 3 weeks now...sold all prematurely (actually i took my gamble, didnt pay off, could have gone either way). such is life.

trying to time market is like trying to control you wife, you will fail each time and will be miserable foreever.

jadukor good story, i wish i was rich like you so i could travel the world just like you

and i agree about the v day....it can be cliched and stuff but the day creates an environment that i think everyone should be part of. yes you can celebrate eid in oceania and also in Bangladesh.. the one in bd will always be better because of the environment and that special feelings of unity that it will generate.... you can have dinner on any day but going to a fancy restaurant and knowing that the couple next table is celebrating the same special day as you has a differently good feeling that everyone shoukd savour.

so guys, i sell girls jewelry, buy it now from me, only 39.99 and be part of it.....

Valentines Day is probably the only day where flower shops make decent profits.
