This test match has been a seesaw of a match! Pitch hasn't been easy to bat on but these batsmen's technique show you why their the lower ranked test teams. Surprised that Pakistani batsmen's technique towards spin is so bad. They keep on getting their pad in line with the ball. They really needed Younis and Yousuf bad. Well done to Bishoo though! He's been testing the Pakistanis all day long. Definitely a star in the making

Not gonna be easy at all though. Even though Pak and WI batting lineup isn't great, theirs is better then ours and their bowling attacks are better as well.

I wouldn't say this line-up is better than ours. Bring in Yousuf and Younus then it's a different story.

@Equinox, ya well I'm actually in 2 minds about their batting lineup and ours. I believe we're at the same level. As you said though, with Younis and Yousuf it's a different story.

@Al Furquaan, Again I'm in 2 minds, I really don't know how well we would play Bishoo, I feel our batsmen would really struggle against his legspin, and we would also struggle against Ajmal's doosras. Our batting certainly could score more then 229 or 160 but since our lineup crumbles so easily, it's hard to say.

Overall, you take out Misbah, Chanderpaul, and Sarwan, then I would say our lineup is about the same. Really looking forward to the test matches against these 2.

Tamim > Hafeez
Imrul > Taufeeq
Zunaed > Azhar
Jahirul/Rokibul < Misbah
Mahmudullah > Shafiq
Shakib < Umar
Mushfiq > Salman

I'd actually say we are better than this Pakistani line-up

^Don't agree with Imrul>Taufeeq. Taufeeq has 4 centuries and 11 half centuries while Imrul has only 1 half century. Imrul might be a good ODI batsman for us but he's much worse in tests. Other then that ya I agree. Actually I would compare Tamim with Umar because their both the best batsmen for their respective teams and are aggressive. And then compare Shakib with Hafeez because their both allrounders. And I would take Shakib over Hafeez without a doubt. And take Tamim over Umar any day. So ya our lineup actually does have an edge.

It's unfair to judge Imrul on his stats. Yes he had a prolonged struggle in getting into grips with the Test format however he is a changed batsman now. He would undoubtedly fare much better in Test cricket these days. In fact he showed signs of it in England where he averaged 41. Although yes it is also unfair to Taufeeq Umar to say Imrul is better just through speculation. But I still believe that right now among the two Imrul is the better batsman.

Even against England though, he struggled. He was very streaky when getting runs. Don't want to take anything away from him though because to his credit, he scored runs in tough conditions against the #3 ranked team in the world. To his credit, his stats have improved from last year in tests. I think that's the most important thing. Even if it's not big improvement, I just want to see improvement and he has done that. Let's hope he can score some 50s and 100s now this year.

West Indies need to set 200 for Pakistan to chase to have a good chance of victory. They really should have played another spinner.

Sub-Test class batting from both the teams ! It shows two teams on the verge of decline and becoming complete non entities in World Test Cricket . BD has a great chance against these two teams .I will be surprised if these batsmen can hold their own against BD's spinners .Time for BCB to arrange home games against these teams .I cant see anything but a 'Banglawash'

There are hardly 3 Test class batsmen in these two teams combined .One is still playing (Chanders) and the other Misbah is set to come in .Now its a matter of which of these batsmen play a real Test innings. Pitch sure is an issue but the batsmenship at display is pathetic .

WI and Pak, are both coming to visit BD later on this year, so we'll find out where we stand.

we should beat wi easily, but not too sure how it will be against pakistan. our record is terrible against them. It seems like we give up even before the match starts....

We could beat them but it won't be easy. Look at the scoreboard. Pakistan 2/2 after 2 overs and needs 217 more

Shafiq making the Windies pay. Bravo should have really held on to that simple catch. These two can apply themselves and frustrate the opposition for long periods. After them Akmal does not have the patience to play a long innings under pressure, and the rest don't have the ability so the Windies desperately need to break this partnership. Windies badly needs this win to show the world they are still good enough.

Damn you Bravo. 140 + runs will be difficult once misbah gets out and he won't get out easily.
