Default Indian cricketers find Aishwarya inspiring!!

SIFYSPORTS

Really could'nt decide if this belonged to BD/Int or forget section. After reading it.... here it is. You can even discuss if she should be an inspiring factor.
Unfortunately, it is not about our Ash.

Will Aishwarya Rai lead the Men in Blue to victory when they take on Pakistan in the historic cricket tour beginning this weekend?
While no one can answer that just yet, the doe-eyed actress is a clear favourite amongst India's young cricketing heroes. Many of them admit they find her inspiring.

Those obsessed with Ash include Parthiv Patel, the baby of the team.
Picture Gallery: Ash at her best

"She's the one I like the most. I was only a kid when she was crowned Miss World but she has an enduring charm that can mesmerise anyone. Not only is she beautiful, but one has only to see some of her films to realise that she's a great actress too," he says.

"I talked a lot about her in school and my friends used to tease me for it. I have watched most of her films including 'Devdas', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and others," gushes the 19-year-old wicketkeeper who is also known for his big hitting in the field.

Pace duo Ajit Agarkar and Irfan Pathan too have Ms Rai on their minds.
Discuss: When it comes to cricket Ash is pretty dumb. She should not be the inspiring factor.

"I have been watching her films since I was in college. Her divine beauty has a very soothing effect on the mind," says Pathan.

His recent engagement to Arti Singh notwithstanding, Haryana master-blaster Virender Sehwag is just as effusive in his praise for glam gal Aishwarya.

"What an actress she is! I think she deserves an award for being the most beautiful woman alive today!

Now that's one googly which may get Veeru run out of home and hearth!

Jeez man, its not Ash; its Aish.

Aish for Aishwariya and Ash for Ashraful !

I do think there was a mistake by the reporter of the siffy sports.

When I read the title I thought its our Ashraful; I was like what one knock made the difference?

I agree with Arnab. Whenever my fiancee opens up one of those weird Bollywood magazines, they're always giving us the latest scoop on 'Ash', not 'Aish'.

haha! blame it on your fiance eh.. come on admit it, YOU read those magazines too don't you? We have a few of 'your kind' at work. They're always spewing out stats from Cosmo or Cleo and when questioned about how they know it, they blame thier wives/gfs!

I personally don't think Aishwarya is that beautiful.

I prefer Rachel Weisz. Now that's beauty.

many people will strongly disagree with u. for example, i've a friend (graduated from BKSP and now playing in 2nd devision, adding this just because its a cricket site) always says that he'll happily give up his life for spending 24 hours with aishwarya.

Rachel Weisz reminds me of Jemima Khan for some reason. Must be the british jew factor.

Cliche or no, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. Personally I find Ralph Fiennes to be the most beautiful speciman of humanity (much to the irritation of my husband!).

Here's a three degrees of seperation:

1. Ralph Fiennes's brother is Joseph Fiennes.
2. Joseph Fiennes was the co-actor of Gretchen Mol in "Forever Mine"
3. Gretchen Mol is a co-actor of Rachel Weisz in "The Shape of Things"

More trivia:

Gretchen Mol is super hot.

Rachel Weisz is a Hungarian Jew, a first generation immigrant. She spoke German as a child and had to learn how to speak English after she came to Britain.

Why do women always get edgy when we narrate facts about them? my fiancee reads bollywood magazines...i don't mind...what i do mind, however, is her telling me every bit of trivia concerning bollywood movie ishtars. i myself don't have any interest in bollywood magazines, although i do occasionally catch a bollywood movie (if my fiancee's paying for the ticket, that is).
