Dickens is one of the best bd batsman against spin and one of the worst against fast bowling. Grame hick would commit suicide if he gets to know that he is being compared with someone like dickens...

2 double in a season can be anything but a fluke. I am really impressed with him. He is much better than Naeem. We can try Marshal at number 3

Ayub is looking good, but the question is how he will fare when facing international bowling.

Graeme Has over 100 FC tons! And averages over 50 but in TEST cricket -and after playing plenty -he averages an Ashraful like 30 something. Thats a huge drop in average in REAL cricket. Interestingly, Hicks nickname is Ash, too. I think Ash will throw up if he found out this unflattering similarity!

Dickens not the only chicken in the coop. Mr. Hick is there, too. Like it or not.

same here.
And what is more impressive is that it's not like he scored a double from nowhere but has been consistent for a long time, he is confident, I think he is ready to face atleast an average Srilankan attack.

That's pretty obvious isn't it? Yeah that sucks but it's not his fault.

His grand father named Marshall Ayub according to Prothom Alo interview. But IMO his grand father named him after the name of Field Marshall Ayub Khan.

Or even Mujib.... But I'm sure it's not that Ayub....because I have seen a few people inspired by that guy, but they kept it along with Khan....

So, I'm pretty confident it's the other one I said. His parents aren't supposed to be that old to have a hangover of Ayub Khan...

Perfect time to debut Marshall Ayub. Sri Lanka have an average pace attack. He should be able to handle it since he is in such good form.

Don't see any merit behind the call for his inclusion in the national team as one down though. He always played as a middle order batsman. All those tons of runs in domestic leagues only says he may be a decent player against spin, we still have no idea how he will fare against quality pace.
Only place up for grab I see, for him, is that of Mominul.

Can we change his name? This is the name of the infamous Pakistani dictator of the 60s . To give a child this name in Bangladesh is an insult to our history. It will be disgraceful if a player by this name represents Bangladesh.

Naam diye ki hoy, kaje manusher porichoy.

Should he prove himself in t20 to get included in test team. He might need to do that according to bc policy.we have tendency to select player for wrong format.

Scoring a double or a triple hundred is always meaningful. It is a testament to the batsman's temperament and particularly in Bangladesh, the rare ability to sustain focus.

That being said, we must put these scores in qualitative context. The difference in quality between our FCs and those of other test playing nations is quite substantial. The less said about the difference between our domestic and the highest level, the better. In other words, just because someone puts up big numbers in our domestics when more established of our international cricketers cannot, does NOT mean they're good enough to succeed or sustain success at the highest level.

Ability to correctly respond to a variety of quality attacks in genuinely competitive situations matters and without actually witnessing these matches or thanks to our pontificating and underachieving journos who merely summarize match statistics, it is impossible to assess such ability. The fact that many allegedly passionate cricket fans and copy/pasting (from CI) BS ("balling-stamping") experts (who don't really read what they copy/paste) don't really recognize ability because they don't fully understand what's going on in front of their eyes also doesn't help. We need foreign, professional scouts and reporters to go to these matches and put these numbers in context.
