Default Critics For Tamim Iqbal !!!!

Most of our members predicted he's not gonna have a breezy start against NZ rather he will have a single digit score but I am sure there are few members of BC still have the big hope on him to make a big quick score against India & guide us to the victory .

Congrats To him for a great flying start & set up the dreams to beat NZ for the first time ever in the history .

Surely this young kid is a key player on a given day & can turn the match around as we all seen already as he can do that easily against the bowlers like Franklin , Vettori , Bond & Others when the team like Australia couldn't do much against them in few weeks back in NZ . (Don't forget that was a whitewashed)

Dav Whatmore can coach this side to make us one of the top 5 ranks team in next few months/years ............

Our Selectors also can select the right players to get the pride for us ...........

This young lad can hold the bat for sure to hit the top class bowlers all over the park .

Wait till the matches against Srilanka & India . If he stays on the crease for at least 15-20 overs then we can have our dream start again & again . We should be unbeaten to go to the second round after this big win .

I wish Tamim the best.

But let's not forget what happened to his brother Nafees Iqbal's career. He had his share of limelight too, after scoring a famous 100 in a practice match against England.

Man , now you are talking .

He's not his brother Nafis Iqbal ; So , don't worry ; You can have an example ; David Hussey & Mike Hussey .

David Hussey is a great player too & debuted before Mike Hussey in Australia A but who plays the better one Mike Hussey caz he knows how to play .

FYI, David Hussey is younger brother of Mike Hussey and David never played for Australia in either Test/ODI/20-20

tamim and nafees is the perfect opening combination. nafees won't have to worry about scoring rate now. if tamim, and aftab can last 50 balls then we will be in business

I never seen him in action on the pitch. So i dont know how well his technique is. Also i dont know how much strong he is mentally. But I hope he is well in these points. Cause I want him to become our Jayasuria or Gilchrist some day. Morning normally shows the day. Isn't it?

Tamim proved nothing. Another TI in making. He scored a century in practice match in u19 and in the real matches he freaked out. So be cautious.

As Tamim has made some signature shots against some great bowlers, he surely has the potential to give bangladesh a blazing start,no doubt about it.

But one thin i wanna add is, one the way of his oneday career he must learn some skills by ownself to be opener player like S nafees. i want him to learn while he is playing.Scoring amount of run suddenly should not stop him from learning.

i like Tamims playing till now. And I hope for the best.

Wish him good luck

i think you have good logic to think so,and i agree with you.in 1990-94 srilanka wasn't a good side at all..they got their test satatus and won world cup within 13 years.the world cup was held in the sub-continent.
and,20011 wc will also be held in indian sub-continent...we got test status in 2000..dave whatmore hopefully will be our coach till then(like srilanka)..our players r developing every month.why not,i think if history is any indication, bangladesh will be world cup 2011 champion inshAllah.

By the way, Tamim may not be in the WC2011 squad. There will be others vying for that position for sure by then. Namely NSadat.

Can you remember SL in 1990-94 period and even earlier? Yjer had a good and strong side at the time of their entry into test cricket.

Tamim is a hard hitter rapid scoring opening batsman much more different than his bro, Belim or Rajin, if he passes his test (ongoing WC) and clings on to the opening slot, we have a Sehwag in the making (the old good one, not the one currently going thru the lean patch)! Bangladesh will have the best ever openers in Shahriar-Tamim and bury their opener worries once and for all!! Hope Tamim carries his good form to the main games!!

so far, he looks good but like ashraful and others the talent and youth doesn't always equate to a world class cricketer. But like Mortaza, it usually does

OK. this is kinda ridiculous. One performance and you guys are giving him an open certificate. He's got talent, no doubt but it is too early to tell what kind of goods he'll deliver.

I wish him well and hope he beocmes a genune match winner for us.
