Detroit definitely deserved to win this. Game 7 is anyone's bet. Red Wings probably have the psychological edge.

Great comments by Coach Babcock on playoff hockey and hockey players BEFORE game 6. He's 100% spot on. I think Datsyuk in all likelihood is our next captain after St. Nick retires either Thursday night, or InshAllah, after winning his 5th Cup in June.

Yeah, game 6 was pretty HUGE for us. We've played better since game 2 and lost games 2 and 3 by a goal. Then we won 2 by a goal also, winning game 5 with comparative comfort despite the narrow margin of victory. So 3 of the first 5 games could've gone either way before last night. What a classic series it has been so far!

Last night we dominated and Niemi was at his best. We didn't get frustrated and kept at it. Then they scored against the run of play and came roaring back for about 4 minutes. Though out of our game during those minutes, we didn't panic. Howard made some key saves and gave us time to recover. Then we dominated again and scored 2 on the in-the-zone-Niemi to take the lead. The ENG was just icing on the cake.

We definitely have momentum on our side but also enough experience to know what's ahead in San Hoe against an excellent side coached by our former assistant coach. But the way we hung in there and recovered our dominance in 4 minutes makes me as confident as I can be.

I'm confident that if we play our best hockey and they play their very best, we'll come out on top InshAllah. We'll desperately try to play our very best. We DON'T want our season to end until we win 9 more, 1 game at a time, 1 period at a time and 1 shift at a time. Only then our captain can have the farewell he deserves. We've won 3 game 7s in a row in this series but gotta win the one that counts the most.

Respect for the Sharks. Taking us out 4-1 last season in a closely contested series, then getting better and leading 3-0 this season ain't easy. We also got better with Kronwall and Helm becoming elite players with Howard, Ericsson and Filppula well on their way.

Respect for the Pens. Taking the Cup away from us in our own building with a game 7 victory never happened before in the modern era.

Its time to bury the hatchet. I would be very glad if this happens. This man needs to retire as a Pen. The old ownership is gone and the dark days followed by the bankruptcy are a thing of distant past. I want to see his banner hanging from the rafters.

Indeed bro. There would always be just one #68 and he should always be a Penguin. I want Fedorov to retire as a Red Wing but his number won't be retired because he left us. I expect numbers 5, 13 and 40 to be retired eventually and join the hallowed company of legends.
