People in Australia have been dissapointed with how the selectors picked an Australia A team to versue Sri Lanka. I would have much have wanted M. Hussey to exit international cricket in style. But this Aussie A team is as strong as the actual Aussie team imo because they still have pacers McKay, Johnson and Starc to spearhead the team. Phil Hughes is a better player in shorter formats and when Finch gets going he can really be another Dave Warner. Khawaja was unlucky to get out in that fashion but i have confidence that he make consistent scores. Bailey is a mainstay in ODIs and Dave Hussey is a freak. I reckon he is Michael Hussey in disguise.
Another leading topic is about Australia's wicket keepers. Matty Wade to me has shown he is a classy batsmen. Haddin might be a clean striker of the ball but he is too inconsistent with the bat. Wade isnt a great keeper so it leads to the fact of which one would you take.

Hope Khawaja can make some runs today. Very unfortunate to get out the way that he did last match. Finch should find his feet this match. Both superb cricketers.

well khawaja has been dropped. silly imo, he's one of the most promising batsmen in the country, needs an extended run in the national team and he'll come good, he's a good prospect across all formats to.

Australia batted poorly. Nothing too mesmorising abt the pitch. Dubious how Khawaja is dropped after making his debut. Deserved another chance considering how he was dismissed.

Australian selectors are showing excessive courage in team selections. Last 10 matches or so it seems they did not go to field without one debutant to the least.
Now, risking the team with almost C-level players with Srilanka with their prime 11 (only Sanga not there), was a gamble always to lose. Hope, they at least fill half their team with experienced decent record holders.
Another thought, why don't you risk such teams with BD? If Lions deserve the experiment, why not tigers . I am sure the match would be much interesting though not so pleasant a news for us fans.

Exactly. Every time I check their score, I see new players in the Aus XI. They do t need 50 players in a year. 20 is enough

This is the result of excessive courage. I can't understand why they change the squad every day!

After this series is finished they should do Aus A vs Aus B vs Aus C tri series to make the selectors feel good about themselves.

Clarke, Warner and Wade called back into the team. This makes it interesting. A bit surprised Haddin is dropped after saving the team from complete humiliation.

surprised nobody has commented on mckay's wicket, clearly no edge, given not out by the on field umpire, referred and then going through all the evidence there's nothing suggesting he actually was out, yet he was given out. probably would have changed the match very much but still it was very ridiculous.

God, if I ever played cricket as a bowler, it'd have to be like Malinga. So accurate and no hanky-panky of setting batsmen up with subsequent deliveries.
