Few things:
1. Burress didn't gurantee a win. He predicted a win for Giants. When the reporters asked him, what is he supposed to say?
2. America predicted Patriots is gonna win. That doesn't mean they are supporting them. Most of the America will support Giants on sunday but I don't think it will make a big difference.
Go Giants!!!

All the BIG talk and Bak Bakum and Hoopla witl end by the end of Sunday. One group will have to eat the humble pie, and the other group will gloat and say "See I said so". But in the middle, people forget that the game is played in the field and who ever plays better in that particular day ends up winning the game.... and its not over unless the game is over.
Thats why, when I want to enjoy the game to its fullest, ususally I prefer to watch it in TV alone..... not in the stadium (as if I could effort even if I wanted)... not in a sports bar ..... not even with friends.... because you may have a great time with the croud (for other reasons)..... but not necessarily you can really watch the game to its fullest.
btw.... you need to have a DVR...High Definition Big screen TV.. or a projector...and surround sound... its a must.

I want Plax to get a superbowl. It was the saddest day when he left in free agency after 2004.

What was he supposed to say? He was supposed to say "lets wait until game day" like Brady says every time someone asks him that question ( which is before every freakin game). Even their coach, who i respect very much btw, says Plaxicos - lets call it "prediction" - was out of line...23-17? We'll see...

Well you are missing the point. What's the difference between predicting 23-17 or 45-42? He is still predicting a Giants win. Ofcourse, Patriots will score a lot more points than 17 but he is just showing confidence on his teammates. On the other hand, media doesn't have anything better to do and will talk about it the whole day. 2 weeks is a little too long for media to stay quiet, don't you think?

Who said there was anything wrong with him predicting 23-17? I think youve been reading too much from the media. Theyre the ones who're making a big deal about the score and Bradys reply with titles like "Brady mocks Plaxico's guarantee" because it fits in with that whole perception of the Pats being cocky. All Im saying is he shouldnt have guaranteed a win at all. And yes, it was a guarantee. He said we're bringing back the trophy to New York. Sure sounds like a guarantee to me. Confidence is good. Overconfidence - not so much...

Never mind. There is no point going back and forth on this issue. Patriots would love to think its a gurantee. It worked so well for them the last time, they are looking for every single word to pick on. To me, it was just an prediction. You are entitled to have your own opinion. Just look at your post and you will see who is reading too much from the media.

There will be congressional hearing why NFL destroyed the spy gate evidents. I have a hunch that after winning, Belichick will call quits..

Dont you think that tactic is a bit childish? No hard feelings buddy. Us Pats fans are just having our fun. The whole point of celebrating when your team comes this far is getting the chance to trash talk the losers...And btw, youre still not getting my point. As Ive said already, even if it was a prediction, its not how players over here in the US are supposed to handle themselves. Players dont make predictions here. Havent you ever seen these questions answered before? Its almost rhetoric in a sense. No matter how bad the other team is, the players are supposed to play it cool. Things arent the same here as in the cricketing world...

Just like I said there is no point going back and forth. So don't really want to get into it. I know what you mean by playing it cool and not answering what the media wants to hear. I just don't think it is that of a big deal like some of us are making it out to be. You can say I am not getting your point and I can say the same but lets just end it here. Nothing personal.

I knew somebody would bring this up and forget to mention a tiny little detail: its just hearsay at this point. "The cheaters got caught" seems pretty definite, dont you think? Think about it, whats the motive for this guy to come out right now at this particular time just before the Superbowl? He wants attention. Why dont we wait and see if he can provide some further details and then we can go shouting off as much as we want. Although, I will say this: if these allegations are true, Belichick has got to go. I've had enough of this mans tactics...

Less than 3 hours to go guys. Best of luck to the New York Giants. Theyre my third favorite team and I couldnt be happier seeing them come this far after being down and out in the middle of the regular season...

The support for these teams seems evenly matched according to this FOX Sports poll. 51-49 Giants so far...
