I think I'd like to go to those places too
Turkey's an under-rated place among european countries
China-never knew about some of its places
Greece is a cheaper alternative nowadays

China is incredibly beautiful, particularly places in Yunan province, Guilin, Hang zhou etc. In the past only Bangladeshi businessmen used to visit the country but I think an increasing number of deshi tourists are visiting as well.

I'll tell you what's an overrated (scenic) beach: Bondi in Sydney. It aint half as big as I thought it would be. Its full of backpackers all there to get a tan and show off their tanned bodies. Teeming like a frickin' colony of cockroaches! Complete waste of time. And Sydney's congested and rude in the first place.
You wanna enjoy a beach in Sydney? Go to Kyeemagh and watch the planes. Otherwise for a Melbournite, driving 3 hours out to Seaspray in Gippsland was wayyy more rewarding. You get a thousand mile unbroken Pacific coast beach with warm water to swim in. And best of all - NO PEOPLE!
From the limited number of places I've been to in North America, scenic and Beautiful was Vermont and upstate New York where Orphy *should have* driven through. And also Thousand Islands on the way to Toronto from Montreal. But I went to these places when I was 9 so its been a while. Closest to it would probably have been past Rochester heading in towards Syracuse and Binghamton 5 years ago. "Ithaca is gorges" they say...
