How diverse are we (Part I)???

This poll is just to see how diverse the members of BC are.

So what Nationality accurately describes you?

Nationality = Canadian
Ethnicity = Czech
Religion = Not important. Personal choice.

u are ahead of the game, WG. i haven't (yet) asked for ethnicity or religion. thats all to come later.

I promised myself I wouldn't post till Dec. because I'm crazy busy with my school and work now. However, this is right up my alley.

Few suggestions, take them or leave them.

I got the widest variety of responses from my poll compared to others, and out of 209 people polled I got a response of around 100 different countries, AND ethnicities.

The trick is this. If you ask me what is my ethnicity or nationality, or my Wife, chances are we will both say Canadian. Herein lies the problem. You can as us that. But if you want a more ethnicity type of break up that goes back before all the inter racial minglying world wide, before all the mass immigration, you have to ask what is the ethnicity of your parents or grandparents? (Especially here, most bangladeshi's are not in bangladesh, and some identify as American, Canadian, etc. ) If you do that, it completely changes and becomes much more variable. Have the option of mixed as well, as that one will be quite high. Many mixed couples go unnoticed, if you can not tell straight away.
Anyway, I am interested how diverse Banglacricket members are, and if there are any non Bangladeshi members (ethnicities) here, apart from the ones I know about, like Dosadeel, and Bharat from Pakistan and India. This is very interesting, so I just wanted to share some ideas with you.

oh, ps.
So what I meant is

Ask what is your nationality/ethnicity
followed by
what is your parents/ grandparetns ethnicity.

and then maybe where do you live.

that would also say, do you live in ...say....Australi, yet feel Australian yet? ...or Bangladeshi? How would you identify.
So you will see that he/she is Australian, yet their parents/grandparents are from Bangladesh.

Ok, don't be mad, sorry to try and influence this. I love these kinds of polls, being a psychology major, we do a lot of this type of thing.
