Alam was very poor today. Too many misdirected balls & not to forget about 20 in the last over. Shahadat was much better IMO. The pacers lacked body language as well today. I am not impressed with the bowing today. SL will destroy us if this is the kind of bowling we display.

This was one of the worst debut for any player in this format of the game, giving 67 runs in 10 overs when the other bowlers were so economical is simply pathetic. Really expected a lot from him, comparing his performance in the tests against some quality opponents this was absolutely a disaster, I thought this could be a very good opportunity for him to make his mark in the ODI's as it is against Zimbabwe, but how wrong could I be.

Mahbubul was set up for failure. Why would you send the newbie to bowl the last over? That's moronic. He was already having a bad match, the 20 runs in the last overs just killed it. Bowlers needed to be managed in a way where Mahbub would have bowled somewhere in the middle and Masri and Sakiib bowling the last overs. Again, taking Nazmul and Mahbubul together was a bad decision. Nazmul bowled only 4 overs, most of us probably could have predicted that he would be useless. The 6 overs that were not bowled will stick out as a finger to the selectors.

I like how the leggie turned him self in to a Offie and saved Nazmuls overs ... If Ash keeps it Simple Just bowling line and length he'll be a very effective bowler in the shorter versions and he needs to bowl until Enam can prove him self in this format or 2 Strikes (Razzak) comes back

This is also a benefit match for Manjural Islam Rana, the Bangladesh left-arm spinner who was tragically killed in a road accident in 2007.
|
Win this for Rana!

ash has no common sense ,Why on earth would he finish sakibs overs and let mahbubul bowl the last over ?
Anyways, we can still win this, zimbabwe's bowlers have high eco.'s and not many are "good" besides muparawa, other do have good potentials though.

No more time! Need no experiment. Make a rule - you dont bring new player to national team until he is 26 years old.

Alam is 25 yrs old.
He has bowled superbly in Test matches. Today is just a bad day for him. He otherwise is a very good bowler.
