Default The new Jersey, 2012 - like it?

I think the jersey that we are playing in now are unique and edgey. I would certainly buy one.

This is one place where a new thread would have been better. I am going to take the last two posts into a new thread - and perhaps others can post pictures of the new jersey here.

Even though it is not entirely to my taste, it is great to see they actually tried to design something innovative and did not just try to recycle old design. Its looks like a fun kit rather than a boring kit. Hopefully they keep tryong to innovate and one day we end up with a great professional kit. I would give this one 7/10. Dont like font on front.

Finally chose a good shade of green that works well with that red. Quality of the fabric looks nice too. They finally got those "dri-fit" stuff. Only thing is the random texture all over the jersey. I don't get it. It doesn't make any sense, and completely ruins it.

3/10

It's alright. Nothing special, at least it's a little more colorful than the crappy one we had during World Cup. It looks like we are sponsored by Hawaiian punch.

Sorry for being harsh but I don't like at all. The jerseys look like tye dye shirts, not athletic uniforms. Really tacky stuff honestly. Is Bata our clothing sponsor still? If it is then we can't really expect much better. Why can't we get sponsors such as Nike, Reebok, or Adidas? If we get those kind of sponsors, then we would see much better uniforms.

This jersey is nice. I definitely feel the look they were going for, with the red and green blending in with the yellow in the middle. The texture also looks superior to other jerseys, but it could just be an illusion, and we won't really know if we received better material or not.

The biggest complain about this jersey however is that Sahara is written in too big of a size and too bold of a font. And very close to the word Bangladesh too. Every time you look at the jersey, it's impossible to make out the words Bangladesh without imagining the word Sahara too.

I don't care if Indians don't mind it in their jerseys, but I feel we should. But all in all, with the uniqueness this jersey presents, ( and not too unique as in gaudy like those black and yellow sleeves tiger stripes jerseys at one time), I give this outfit a 7/10.

Btw, those tiger stripe jerseys are considered classics by some people, to each his own.

The only major complaint I have is the collar, it's like they could not decide if they wanted a V-neck or a collar so they added both. I would have liked them to go for the V-neck. Seeing how they changed design soo much it would have been perfect kit to try BD first V-neck jersey or small collar jersey.

The shiny blood red on the top reminds me of this. Everytime.

Otherwise, the jersey looks good.
Dont know, may be a little deeper shade of red would have looked nicer, with a little more presence of yellow.

Hope they can turn it as a winning outfit and chew the WI players just like this :

problems? everything should have been a little darker to begin with.. the place where all 3 colors and font mixed.. it looks very "hijibiji". And "Bangladesh" font looks ugly...

I think they could have done better with whole thing green, BANGLADESH red as it is and the Tiger light shed of yellow.

And yes, No SAHARA on top of Bangladesh.
It is fine on the sleeves, but just so big on the top of Bangladesh, looks as the poster above said, hijibiji.

The trousers look too plain. It could do with some borders or stripes. The jersey itself looks good from the side, but when I look at the front it doesn't look that appealing. Oh and the Sahara fonts should've been smaller than Bangladesh font.

The best thing about this jersey is the fabric they used, at last we got a jersey which's quality matches with that of the other international teams. And completely agree with Dillu on that random texture of dark shades all over the jersey really makes it look worse than it is. Here are some more photos:

I agree on the Sahara element. Sahara could be on the sleeves or on the opposite horizontal side of our badge, but not on top. That's way too much clutter on a pom gana jersey possibly designed by one of Kanta's relatives.

In our previous jerseys they didn't even put "Bangladesh" (other than ICC events, which is required by the law). And they made the back look like a poster with cramping everything from players' names, numbers and Bangladesh. In that sense it's lot better.
