CTG backtracks on Hasina & Khaleda Exile Plan
Apparently the CTG realized their mistake and rectified it....
Was internastional pressure involved
BBC Breaking News
Bangladesh u-turn on former PMs
Bangladesh's emergency government has lifted restrictions on two of the country's most powerful politicians, Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina. In a statement, the government said it would drop a ban on Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina from returning.
It also said that there would be no restrictions on the movements of Khaleda Zia, who has been held under virtual house arrest in Dhaka.
She has reportedly been under pressure to go into exile in Saudi Arabia.

Our correspondent says the two women seem to have won this particular battle with the government - which is perhaps a sign of just how much political clout they still wield.

They should have a Plan B.
Put them behind the bar and that has to be done before they get the opportunity to create more chaos.

I'm beginning to feel Bangladesh has lost its golden opportunity to get rid of Khaleda and Hasina forever..
Oh well, prepare for years of more corruption, violence, hartal and the same old.. I think Bangladeshis are so used to these things, they don't wanna let go of it.

Arey bhai, ei shob bajey plan'er kono bikolpo nai. 1st'a dhoirey bash dewar dorkar silo. On anything if one follows the money trail all problem is solved. So the CTG should go after the money they stached away. IF not just leave them alone and cut off fundings/other limbs of the tree (subordinates).

There only needed to be one plan - no need for A or B or C.
Had they tried to do everything within the realms of constitution, had they not tried extra-judicial or extra-legal shenanigans to rid ourselves of these two, we would have been rid of these two and no one would have been wagging their fingers.
If you speak of the moral high-ground you yourself must be unimpeachable.

This is Hasina and Khaleda's lobbying dollars at work.
I had hoped the CTG would stand firm on this. They would surely lose credibility now.

Now the CTG is going after their bank balance which in my opinion they should have done primarily instead of trying to sent them in exile. Whoever made the exile plan is the biggest nincompoop living in Bangladesh at the moment. Everyone knows that these two leaders have money earned through illegal means and trailiing their life style, expenditures etc they can easily show a huge discrepancy between income and expenditure.
Now I am not an expert on law but I think the way to net these two would be to try them in cases that are easier to prrof and faster to conclude legally. If extortion cases fall under such category then so be it. They just need to ensure that these corrupt people are sentenced before the next election and they would be ineligible to particiapte thus effectively ending their political careers. After that they can bring in all the other serious cases and give the bitches what they deserve. The imbecile who decided to send them on exile should be fired from the CTG. However by retracting their stance the CTG has shown maturity and should now focus on making cases that would effectively put the leaders in jail even if it is for a year or two. IF there are street protests because of cases against hasina or khaleda then the CTG should use all the force they can including military to clamp down on the hooligans. I am sure the general public would not mind if these bitches are put to jail. One wrong move from the CTG just gave the two cows the highlight they were looking for and a victory in this battle. However the war is still not over and the CTG still can win it and seeing that good sense prevailed gives me hope once again.

These two leaders prove again that they are great politicians.
Its amazing to see how some people on this board are willing to use violence when some agenda is to their liking.

Hahaha I suspected something along these lines which is why I asked you in the first place. Well the part you are talking about might be where I say the CTG should use all the force they can nincluding military to clamp down on the hooligans if they start street protests for cases against Hasina or khaleda. How is this resorting to violence when it suits my liking ? HOw is this even resorting to violence? Street protests are violent and in order to stop this violence the police and the military should use their powers to stop them. It is not like I am asking the CTG to use military to beat up the Al and BNP workers who are sitting at home harmlessly. I just dont want the hooligans to create a rampage in cities in the name of protests which is what they usually do. Man you clearly have a soft spot for the two ladies for reasons best known to you.

Now the question is will Hasina go back? She is walking right in the trap. I am not sure how much support these 2 ladies can get as their own party has shown sign of crack. BNP and BAL both party members want these 2 ladies to be gone, so does CTG, so does virtually all Bangladeshis. I am not sure that Hasina can handle what is waiting for her. This will be very bad if she comes back! These 2 show unity and sisterhood only when military has their boot shubed up their no shunshine. This time Bangladeshi people do not want them. This is a big difference.

Bhai, you can say all you want. u can call them illeterate, u can also say that they came into limelight because of their families. What they did over the last few days to get themselves out of a mess is respectable atleast in a political sense. I am not claiming that they are amazing people who should be idols, but they are damn good politicians. If they were not, they wouldnt have lasted in power with the very little skill they have.

thats the beauty of politics it will make u do things you wont otherwise do.
I am not sure as to how people on this board come to a conclusion that virtually all Bangladeshi's do not want these two people to come back, living outside the country.

You are suggesting the state to use its muscle to clamp down protests. Ofcourse, there is gona be violence as soon as that hits. People just do not go and start acting like hooligans. I highly doubt u have seen any of these protests from start to the beginning. The police also has a huge parts to play in escalating protests to a level where they go violent.
I do not have a soft spot for any of the two ladies, i am just against the way in CTG handeled the situation.
And unlike you and a lot of other people, I believe in democracy and not any form of military dictatorship.

Thankfully I do not participate in such programs so I have not witnessed them from "the start to the beginning". You seem to be suggesting that if police does not interfere then the violence does not escalate. Hmmm so I guess when the picketers start breaking or damaging private properties the police should let them because they might stop after just breaking one or two but if the police stop them then all hell will break lose. Dammn, man you are smart!!!! I just get the feeling you are very closely related to the politicians because I dont think any other kind of people carry this much smartness and such awesome logic.

On a lighter note, what in the hell is start to the beginning. I clearly am not writing my thoughts well enuf. I am not saying, that all protests are non violent. but there are lots which are non violent, and the police do play a huge part in making it violent (mainly because the are told to do so by political parties). You and I can argue this to death, nothing will come out of it. Especially if you make comments about my affiliations with politicians.
