HELP with Mobile Set & SIM
I live in Canada, and I have Rogers service (under contract). I use Motorola, which is quad band and can be used in bangladesh.I'll be visiting BD soon so I was thinking of taking the set there. The thing is I have to unlock the rogers sim in order to use the BD sim. There are places where I can do this in canada (as well as BD) but i was just wondering, will the set work when i come back to Canada & out back the Rogers SIM.
Is there anyone who did this Unlocking before and tried their North American set in BD? Thankyou in advance for your reply....

If you unlock then you can use this to any network. I also have unlocked my set as I have to travel a lot.

Yes, it will definitely work back in Canada when you come back. All you are doing by unlocking is making your phone available to other networks which is usually banned on locked phones by the service providers.

Thankyou all for your replies. I used an online software + data cable + I paid them $25 online (there are lots of site doing this business), and I think they are all reliable.
I unlocked mine (atleast thats what the software says, dont have a spare SIM to try it on)

I would suggest you check with a pre-paid sim... i guess they are pretty cheap... just to be on the safe side...

In eastern plaza in Bd they unlocks it for 300taka, much cheaper than $25. so, if you are to unlock to use in Bd, go there and then unlock. I did mine, but then left the set there for my brother's use. but i'm interested in knowing if I can do the unlock by myself. any idea?
