Default Looking for large family SUV(not Minivan)

As you guys already know, our Toyota Kluger had a rather nasty accident, which caused it to be written off, so now my parents are in the hunt for a new SUV....We want to go with Nissan as they are much cheaper, however we are considered with reliability.

We definitely need 8 seats, and we also tow/go offroad quite a bit, so that narrows it down to two choices

Nissan Patrol
Toyota Landcruiser

90K will most likely get me a 1-2 Year old Used LCruiser, were as a 75-80k gets me a new patrol, anyone here have any bad expeiriences with Nissan in general. Buying the car on a lease as well.

Dont be Konjush, open up your wallet and buy this one....

There is only one problem though... its a 7 seater. But there is some work around solution. Buy this and place it in the middle row:

The old mustang ( shelby) costs around about 120K in australia, but after the new trade deals with the US, they have just curbed it down to 50k, so be it with a much weaker 4.0 Ecoboost V6

1. What Acura has to do anything with American cars?
2. And Cadillac is a "cheap" American brand? What about Ford, Chevy, GMC or Chrysler then?

Coming to your original question, we don't have either of the exact models here. Rather we have Toyota Highlander and Nissan Armada. Although both comes standard with 8-Pass seating, you have to check yourself if they can really accommodate 3 adults in the 3rd row. I recently test drove a Highlander and found it very smooth with a luxury feeling. However, it's not meant for off-roading, you have 4-Runner (5-7 Pass) for that.

Here are some alternative (not sure what you can find in Australia though):

American: Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, Ford Expedition, GMC Acadia/Yukon
Japanese: Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander/Sequoia, Nissan Pathfinder/Armada
Luxury: Infiniti QX80, Lexus LX570/GX460, Merc G/GL Class and Range Rover (the leader of all)
