After nine rounds GM Enamul Hossain (2489) of Bangladesh is jointly leading with 7 points. GM Ganguly Surya Shekhar (2631) also have 7 points.

England's GM Short Nigel D (2655) highest ranked player of the tourney has 6.5 points. Murali Krishnan (2412) has 6.5. He is not even a FM or an IM. He was leading the tournament and then lost to Enamul in the last round and surrendered his lead.

GM Niaz (2437) has 6. GM Zia (2564) has 5.5. FM Mohammad Javed (2264) and FM Taibur Rahman (2306), FM Mahfuzur Rahman (2297) have 5 points.

GM Gupta Abhijit (2551) has 4.5 points so far.

Sometimes this Enamul Hossain Rajib plays extraordinary chess and subsequently he goes downhill. why so inconsistency?

anyway, this chap is one of our beloved contry's "Shonar Chele" (golden boy)

Enamul Hossain Rajib still on top with two more GMs each having 7.5 points

Enamul, Niaz & Zia all drew with their respective opponents. Murali Krishnan's giant killing spree is gone as he lost to GM N Short, in the previous he(Murali) lost to Enamul
