Default Super Cup 2009, a Kazi Salahuddin special

The offer of the biggest prize-money in the history of Bangladesh football is now on. BFF chairman announces with a very high degree of certitude that the prize-money for the champion team of the proposed tournament will be exactly Taka One Crore. Runners-up, 3rd & 4th team of the tournament will also get a handsome amount of money each.

I'm looking forward for this tournament.

Football

Super Cup next year
Champions to get Tk 1 crore
Sports Reporter

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is contemplating to introduce a Tk 2-crore tournament to the domestic calendar next year with the top eight clubs of the B. League, which starts this weekend.

BFF president Kazi Salahuddin revealed the plan yesterday, informing that the winners will pocket one crore taka.

"The other teams will get considerable amount as prize money, but nothing has been finalised yet," said Salahuddin.

"We are planning to hold this tournament after the B. League with the top eight clubs. This will make the teams more competitive and hope that our football will gradually get rid off the curse of match fixing," Salahuddin hoped.

I think its an bad idea. cause now after this tournament one team will have 1 core to make next year team when the runner team will have nothing(they haven't decided the amount on that). but anyway the top two then will become more powerful then the rest which will kill the football again.

I think Rohmotganj needs to go to the semis not Brothers.

First time in BD history Semis will be in two leg tie. Team will play twice each other for Final spot!

They could play the semis in differnt venues say in Chittagong, Rajshahi or Khulna. This would bring more impact on all over the country I think. Playing all the matches at the same ground does not fit well with Salahuddin!

Mohiul, Tomar matha gurey na?

Way to go Abahani. Hard work that is what will bring success. There is still some work to be done.

This tourney actually justifies why everyone should turn their back from Brothers, Mohammedan, RahmatGanj, FarashGanj, AramBag, Sheikh Rasel, Muktijoddha Samsad etc and start follwoing the veterans - who are true Abahoni fans all through their lives.

Sagor Kola for everyone. Kachkola for Mohammedan.

(After posting above I realised how yummy is Kachkola Vorta with SHorsher tel and Kachamorich - somehow they gained, yikes)
