Default Super cup - footbal !!

Salahuddin (My All time favourite BD Footballer) is bringing revolution in BD Football. It's no more a show off/eye wash like the past, his soincerity is evident. I hope that he can bring back the past popularity of BD footbal & raise the standard of the game. All my best wishes for 'Turjo'. Once upon a time, I was a mad supporter of Abahoni & the primary reason was this man. But of course there were many more things to fall in love with Abahoni.

Super Cup

The biggest tournament of Asia? I don't think so. But big anyway.
Champion teams from Japan & Korean leagues are also expected to participate in 3 years time, quiet ambitious, imust say.

Salahuddin did already enough to bring our football in right track. Hope he will continue the good work for few more years at least. We need some success in sports for our young kids.. right now they all are very consused to me..

nice to see many of you are planning to watch the matches ... hope this tournament will able to bring people to BNS again ... at least another source of entertainment for our peopla..

Mohamedan will get the 1-Core because our coach is the best in BD. I heard he even uses computer facilities for football coaching in Bangladesh!

I think there is an already-opened-before thread regarding this Supercup. Can moderator please merge this thread with the previous one.

it's $ 147 K. Prize money wise it's big, might even be highest in Asia. Only Jpn/Kor/Mal/Iran has the chance to cross in some tournament. Even Mardeka isn't this much. India Pak doesn't have such prize money. I think India organized one torunament with something like $ 100K (50 Lakh INR) last years. Infact I can't see a tournament in asia with bigger prize money,

I still like to think this isn't the highest in Asia, but could be as well.

It cant be.... Jpn, Korea , Saudi and Qatar tournaments are for much greater prize money. Malaysia is not really a powerhouse Asian soccer nation and hence u might be right in their case.

I am not sure abt iraninan tournaments but most of their top players play outside Iran.

Amonngst the Saarc countries this might be the most highly paid.

Reports are foreign club teams were very keen to participate in this tournament.
But since the purpose of this tournament is to revitalise our own football, Mr.Superb Salahuddin decided that the first two editions will be local teams only, giving them the chance to make some serious money, and not just they come and take all while we only watch.

Then on 2011, the game will be open to international teams and BFF is already in talks with AFC to fit this tournament in their annual calender and we might be onto something big here.

He is talking of a annual big international club tournament here.
By the time his tenure ends, Salahuddin wants to make sure BFF have a fixed deposit of Tk 25 Crore.

Well, so far, he has been matching his words.

Default Who's paying?

I'm surprised BFF was even able to get that much money to pay. Is CityCell, the main sponsor that rich? That's impressive .
