Default Paceman search in Faridpur

A three-day long pace talent hunt programme will be held at the Faridpur Stadium from October 12 to 14.

National fast bowling coach Sarwar Imran will conduct the trial.

Interest young fast bowlers have been asked to report to Imran at the Faridpur Stadium at 9 am on October 12 with proper cricketing gears, a bio-data and a passport size photograph.

The BCB development committee will conduct similar progra-mmes in Dhaka and several other districts. The selected cricketers will get a two-week scholarship at the famous MRF Pace Foundation in Madras, India. The course at MRF Foundation will be conducted by TA Sekar of India and famous Australian fast bowling consultant Dennis Lillie.

Yes Hasib. But then again as you know in our country, it's all about having the right Jack or John in right places. I wonder how many of the real talents would actually be considered for training at MRF foundation. On a brighter note, at least we are doing something to hunt better fast bowlers. I hope we can find at least two or three tear-away quickies who can bowl bloody fast. Would love to see a fast bowler from BD yorking SRT or Lara with sheer pace.
