I searched "Bangladesh Cricket" at Yahoo, and I found BanglaCricket just next to Cricinfo-Bangladesh. I started visiting this site frequently and could not stop me from signing up as a member. I really enjoy it.

hmm.. has been 1 year already.. since I hav registered..
It was during the time when BD was playing practice matches in Namibia.. with the head-to-head Zimbabwe tour ahead.. and it got me annoyed that I could find no updates anywhere of the Namibia matches n started surfing for anything!

Banglacricket saved me... and to say the whole story, it stunned me! I was surprised to find such a huge fangroup out here in the webspace with huge love for the team!!

Great Forum..

Tehsin used to post in the Alochona discussion forums, about teststatus.com back in 2000. I joined then, and used to log in often, but there were only about 6 or 7 regular posters then. Speaking of which, whatever happened to almer?

Periodically, I would disappear for months at a time, and then come back to teststatus.com or banglacricket.com. The development of this site since its humble beginnings in the Rivals.net domain, has been truly astounding.

I think Almer is still working in Holiday / New Age. I sometimes see he writes there - but not in the sports section.

Speaking of Almer, where is handle?

We lost two of our original members, Handle and Miran. No news of them what so ever.

I did a search on yahoo (Bangladesh cricket) and found the teststatus.com website which I frequently visited. Then I joined when it became banglacricket.com in 2003.

This site is getting better and better everyday! Great work guys.

I can't recall how, and i never thought i'll go beyond a couple of posts.

If i got hooked on, it's more credit to Bangla-Bhasha and few nuggets that kept coming all along that really got me excited.

I was always excited to read FaltuRidwanBhai's bangla post. My success rate at understanding - less than 5 %. But his "DhonnoBad" ending without any punctuations in the post was interesting enough for me

Then i found words like Shalar Bhai and exploits of Lathiwala Bhai quite interesting.

Then Paglar Baba and his miracles got me interested.

Somewhere in between, "Maalis in Bus #6 in Dhaka" was quite innovative.

In fact, almost all of Bangla posters posting from Bangladesh interest me a lot. . They are mostly an eager bunch of enthusiastic, innovative and free-flowing posters.

My close friends suspects i am love with some Bangla girl

Almer works for New Age in Dhaka. He is actually Deputy Managing Editor I think. I don't know who the Managing Editor is but the Editor is Enayetullah Khan of Holiday.

Handle used to come to Banglacricket once in a while even after we moved here from teststatus.com, but he hasn't been on for ages. Miran has disappeared off the face of the earth altogether.

As for me, I found teststatus.com on Yahoo sometime after our innaugural Test. I think it was in Jan/Feb 2001!

I used to visit bangladesherkhela.com during the test between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
But their news and bulletins where always unreadable because of bangla font, that was very frustrating.
Then I found a link of this forum on bangladesherkhela.com, and since then I am a regular visitor.
But it took me couple of months to become a member, because I was shocked and scared to see other members
passion, support and believe on BD team, even sometime fighting with some foreign supporter with full of passion.
All of their posts were so interesting and funny that I always ended up just following them instead of responding any of them.
The WI tour was the best I watched through this forum and there were some die hard WI fans also who made this forum more attractive.

Later on I get used to these passionate BD fans ( now me too! ) and become a member of this forum for 8 months.

i was desperately looking for the Namibia vs BD scores when the latter toured the former a couple of years ago. Google Baba, after a couple of attempts, landed my plane on the right spot
