Default 24 debutants in the last 27 matches

We've got a high player turnover in the last 6 years debuting 24 players in our last 27 matches, almost one per match. I think with our relative recent success in Tests the number of debutants will reduce as we look to put out a more settled side certainly in the batting department. In the next few Test series I can only see potentially Nurul, Mosaddek and Ebadat making their debuts, unless Hathuri springs a surprise by including Tanvir or maybe Nazmul.

Shows how few test matches BD play. Shuvo and nazimuddin's debuts were within the last 27 matches. Shamsur seemed to play his last test ages ago.

Didn't miss it, just decided to gloss over it, we always have a lot of debutants. This amount is still a bit shocking but not really surprising.

We have a lot of debutants. They perform well initially and then keep sucking match after match. We then drop them and that's that.
Meanwhile, proven performers like Nasir or Al-Amin or Robiul are not seelcted for some strange reason.

Agree with gowza bhai. We play so few tests that we keep trying out different players. Injury is a concern as well.

When teams play regularly they stick to a plan.

Agree with Gowza, 24 débutantes in 6 years is nothing out of norm. Within the period, players naturally lost form and better players came along.

Would be interesting to see how many did debut for other teams in those 6 years. Apples v apples would be a better measuring stick.
Aus has 34
SL has 26 in test.

No of years and Tests both matter. I don't see anything extraordinary here.
