That's "Chanda" (fees) to ICC for winning the match. If you win the game, you have to give some money to godfather.

This is just dictatorship. Why doesn't BCB fight back????

Obviously they were appealing because Ashoka was NOT doing his job correctly and the action replays did pick it up. If this was to India, Indian media would have ripped apart ICC match refree.

This is unacceptable. I WANT JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!

If Ashoka were been fined for every bad call he would be bankrupt by now.

Whether the LBWs were plumb/not plumb, umpiring was good/bad; why would you instantly fine players for prolonged appealing (Shahadat/Shakib) without a prior warning? I may be mistaken but I don't think they have been warned/fined before. Also, in saying that do any of you have any info of any other players in any other teams who have been fined for the same offence? (Genuine question)..

The more reasonable approach would have been to give them all a severe warning in that they would be fined in the next test match for prolonged appealing. It may be in the ICC code of conduct but an initial formal warning would have been a lot better. And if the umpires felt so much pressure during the match, why didn't they warn them then and there on the field during play?

Well, this is also a learning process for our boys. Every time match rafree going to fine players on over appealing means, umpire's decision will come under watch too. So lets keep it up and let the world know how pathetic / biased Ashoka is.

the high lights shows how easily umpires missed several clean LBWs.
Is it a rocket science, ICC?
I am very worried about the umpiring in the next matches. Hopefully, ICC will change umpires successfully.

Well, umps get a call at whatever they want. Perhaps there may have been some khocha khochi due to bad umpiring decisions. From the highlights, I haven't seen any prolonged appeal...so perhaps the prolonged appeals was just another ojuhat for fining hhim.

Having said that, we should fine the ump for prolonged nonsense.

Shahadat's appeal was justified.
That first wicket was as plumb as it gets. Lucky for us, the batsman decided to end his own misery.
There was a reason he was looking at the umpire to sign his death certificate and was wondering why the hell it was taking him this long to give him out.

Shahadat was clearly upset with the decision and rightly so. He missed out on a sure wicket.
Thats why he persisted with the appealing.

It was those persisent appeal that caused asoka to raise his fingers in our favour next few times when things werent as plumb with one decision we can consider ourselves lucky.

But who cares, we won!
