They should name these practice matches as official ODIs because clearly our supporters take these results very seriously

Lol, amazed we won tbh. Can we count this for the tri series?
To give you a bit of breakdown on the Irish team.
Kane is a talent, very solid bowler.
Chase/Young have, for the past 12 months, been dreadful, regularly going at 8 plus an over. I am very surprised at their success here.
Singh is a containing bowler, certainly not someone who you'd expect to take 4 wickets As a batsman he has been terrible at ODI level, averaging about 13, but he has more success at A level, and has a 100 before vs Bangladesh A in a FC game.
McCollum is a big talent, but would be regarded more of a FC specialist. Actually, if I'm honest, he's a bit odd. At club level, yes club level, he averaged 13 last year in like 8 games. Yet he has a 170 vs Scotland A, a solid dig in the Tes vs Afghanistan and now a 100 vs a strong BD attack.
I'm thrilled we won. Practice or not last time out we lost by 200 plus runs, so progress certainly made.

Was hoping Yasir Ali would be a chance this game. Shakib should be batting at 3 but if Mithun fails then I see our top 3 being Tamim Liton Soumya. So I assume Soumya being out was a way to trial Shakib at 3. So it seems like management are taking Shakib at 3 seriously.

Only Shakib had better econ than him. And you conveniently looked over the fact he was our highest wicket taker in the match.
Bowlers are hardly to be blamed here, they will go for runs in those small Irish fields, as shown in both matches yesterday. It's the batsmen who need to get their acts together.

Only good sign in this match is Taskin taking 3 wickets. English pitches will be flat and bowlers will go for runs so i don't mind that but what matters is taking wickets. Bowlers need to restrict the opposition to 280-300 but the batsmen need to take the responsibility.

50s wont do while chasing 300+ totals... if one of the top 5 gets in they have to show maturity and score a 100.

Conveniently overlooked? Yes, because I am biased against Taskin.
However, Taskin's wickets came when IRE was trying to accelerate after their score crossed 250. Also, two of the three wickets were lower order batsmen.

What a start to the WC!!! Lost against IRE A. Now a Trent Johnson will blast at the ICC for not taking Ireland to the WC.

Warm ups don’t mean anything. Zimbabwe beat finalists NZ last World Cup in NZ.
