Default 3rd test: BD vs Eng U19s

Who will be the new players in the side for this match. Did the U19s play a match between the second test and this test. If so how did they go. Shamsur Rahman better play.

Well best of luck to the boys and to you too Taif. I am really looking forward to your photos of the match. Please get some close-ups of the players and of our players in action. SOme nice shots! Our pacers in full cry! Thanks a lot in advance.

I don't knwo if shamsur Rahman will play. But that is immaterial. As our coach said we need to make sure our whole set of players get reasonable chances to play and learn in these conditions. So I would rather everyone gets a fair share of the matches. Winning the match would be a bonus for me at this point.

Bowlers will have atough time

Hope they give Nazmul a lot of bowling practice. It will be a batting pitch so he can work on it as a challenge.

Its prediction time

My prediction for 3rd Test:

1. Bangladesh will win!! By 2 wickets, if they bowl first or by 81 runs (to be exact!) if they bat first.

2. There will be 2 centuries by BD U-19. One of them will be by Dhiman (my favorite) or by Shamsur Rahman. Out of these two, the other will score a half century.

3. Nafeez will have a RR of ~300+ in 1 st Innings. Unfortunately he will be out in the 3rd ball of the innings after hitting a 6 and a 4.

4. There will be 4 half centuries by Bangladesh U-19.

5. There will be no century by England U-19.

6. Nazmul (the MAN) will take 5+ wickets in one of the two innings.

7. James Hildreth will out for a quick duck in one of the innings. However in the other innings he will score 89 runs (to be exact).

8. Bangladesh will have a RR of 4.00+ in both of the innings.

9. This time the 12th man (rain) will play against us.

10. WE WILL WIN BABY, WE WILL WIN !!!!!

Default Updates from the Coach McInnes

About Enam's Injury:

Yes it is unfortunate about Enam’s injury but that is sport and he will recover and go on to play plenty of cricket. He has a complete rupture of his PCL and will be out for between 8 and 10 weeks at this stage. He is not in any pain and there is very little swelling so the forecast is good for him. He will see a specialist here in the UK prior to heading home in late August.

About Nazmul and Talha:

Nazmul Hossain is also returning home this week to see his family and freshen up before the champion’s trophy commences. We had to send one player home in order to Talha to come over and I offered Nazmul the opportunity given the length of this tour and the additional 4 weeks he will now be staying. It leaves us a little short for the 3rd test and the ODI’s but provides him with the best opportunity to perform in the Champion’s trophy.

Team for the 3rd test is as follows:

Nafees Ahmed (captain)
Aftab Ahmed (v – capt)
Dhiman Ghosh (v-capt)
Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)
Nafees Iqbal
Shamsu Rahman
Nazim Uddin
Nadif Chowdhury
Rubaiyat Huq
Ashim Chowdhury
Kasi Shahadat Hossain
Israq Sonnet

Not Playing: Enamul Haque Jnr & Nazmul Hossain

Hope this brings everyone up to date.

I hope either Nazim Uddin or Ashim Chowdhury is the 12th man. I would like see Israq Sonnet in the team in this test match.

Why do need two vice captains in a match? Does anybody know the reason?

Perhaps to engender leadership qualities and experience in as many players as possible, to build cricketing IQ, share the responsibilities around etc. etc. At this age level I think it is a smart idea to try and groom as many thinking cricketers and leaders as possible.

Originally there were two vice-captains too. Nafees Ahmed and Nazmul Hossain were the deputies of Enam. So in the absence of the other two, Nafees (Abir) became the captain and Aftab & Dhiman filled in the empty slots.

Expecting a win this time. The wicket tomorrow doesn't seem to be that conducive to swing bowlers as opposed to previous tests. With a few top order batsmen in form, we should have a runfest. Good luck cubs.

Bhatija will probably do good, now that the test has become meaningless. Eng won the series. He is such a flop when it counts. Never fails to fail under pressure.
