Flowers for the West Indies team: A wonderful and successful fan campaign

Can any or all of you pass on the word to organize a massive "Send Flowers to the West Indies Team". Tomorrow, Saturday March 5. They will leave soon.

No need to make any statement. The flowers will be message enough.

Those of us who are outside can contribute in other ways.

Please ppl from Dhaka come forward. Even leaving it at the hotel reception/lobby would do (right?).

We (ppl abroad) can certainly help financially if needed.

Agree with the boss but in order to do can we identify how and what are things we need to do to accomplish that...
1) First of all we need an organizer who can organize this event properly
2) An organizer who can communicate with the media manager and hotel manager
3) For flowers somebody has to quickly act and contact the flower shop so that it can be delivered on time before tomorrow. WI leaving on Saturday
4) If possible BCB or even a minister can visit and meet the players for few mins not sure WI board will allow that.
5) In Airport, if it is possible poster or banner while they board in the plan stating we are sorry for the incident and we support WI
6) Somebody needs to coordinate that with Airport Authority...

Not sure how we can convey this message...i guess facebook might be the fastest way...or call somebody who is infleuntial...unfortenately we can not rely on BCB for this type of quick task

er the opportunity is right now ? buy some flowers, and send them .. or hell even a card ..ten cards ? shouldbt be that expensive

Which hotel they are staying? Can we contact the hotel management and also the team operation managers to coordinate this event?

many of us here have power..plz organize a event or something for this..many people will be there..there are 2 stone throwers but 160million well wishers in bangladesh

If that is the case especially after this incidence, can we contact the BCB coordinator somehow...I believe our Banga Cricket management have some contacts...not sure if this can go through our coach (it might be a bad idea)...

Even we can not get to their place, we can definitely arrange something in hotel lobby or in airport...i hope govt or agents won't stop that effort

It doesn't have to be in the lobby. Just outside the fence.... if the whole footpath is covered in flowers - the message will be loud and clear. Pass on the word.

Exactly, create a FB event. Make it a mass movement. Lets not keep it within BC.

What should be the content of the page...I just commented on one of my friend site will that only help? some people like me are not too familiar with this...can you or any of us here show how to do that...

Can a Bangladesh based BC member open a face book event page.

"Send flowers to the West Indies team"
Date tomorrow - time all day from noon onwards (this way, perhaps we can get word our to the press)
Leave the flowers near the entrance.

This has to come from fans in Bangladesh.

Do you guys know anyone in DOura Bahg Ailo or Bangla Army? They have the local manpower.

This is all I can do from abroad.
