BC cricket section now gets major updates with marriage news. Founders should consider renaming banglacricket to BanglaCricketerMarriage.com

Will he get a shot at England? Unlikely, since they brought back Al Amin. I have always liked Shafiul though, and I feel he did enough vs Afg to merit a game vs Eng. Just me. He can bat too. Won us a game vs Eng with the bat in the past.Hopefully, it doesn't come down to that this time where our tail enders have to save us.

If the pitch is overcast, then swing bowlers are going to be priority.
I think Shafiul swings it better than Al-amin. But I also think Rubel has a chance.
Difficult choice really. But I think its between Rubel and Shafiul for the third seamer. Im leaning towards Rubel.

Rubel was dropped. so in early conditions ideal for Swing, Shafiul is your man.

Shafiul is the only swing bowler we have. Rubel, Taskin, Mustafiz can all reverse it. I think Mustafiz will be able to swing the new ball as well...but he usually has too many different cutters to really spend time trying to bowl seam up.

Can anyone recall anything he has done to justify his consistent selection over all 3 formats? atleast Rubel has shown signs of development unlike Shafiul who proves everytime he plays how useless he is.. his sell by date was 2012 yet he's still around what do selectors see that we don't? Absolutely ridiculous.

Our coaches don't look at match performances. To get selected, you have to do well in nets, and Shafiul is our best net bowler....

He was the highest wicket taking pacer in BPL and thats why he is picked. he had some great practice matches for the test match call up and I dont know why he got selected for ODI.
I am not trying to defend his selection but merely stating what the actual reasons where. Eitherways he didnt deserve it. I may understand his test call up because he was doing quite well there but BPL was long time ago and after the test match it shouldve been evident that on these conditions he is completely irrelevant and more damaging to us then the opposition
