Are we ready to fight against Ireland?
After the humiliating defeat against SA.
now it is every bodies question.
are we ready to fight against Ireland?
i am sure our players are asking them the same question.
we played 6 ODI this year .......
look at our score
1st ODI vs NZ- 201
2nd ODI VS NZ- 161
3rd ODI vs NZ - 96 Horrible
4 th ODI vs SA -178
5th ODI vs SA -173
6th ODI vs SA - 143
demotion...... Ashraful promise for fighting score turn out to be worst.
looks like Zimbabwe played better in Pakistan this year and win 1 ODI against West Indies
atleast they score200+ almost all ODI except the last one
now this may not be the situation against Ireland but our performance is certainly not giving us confidence.
Ireland on the other hand getting success against all the associate member. our players are not getting enough time to mentally prepare themselves after the heavey defeat. it will be a nightmare if any upset haapen here.

Ofcourse we can.. guys.. we'll inshallah win it 3-0.. I dont want to worry about such teams.. atleast teams those are BEHIND us in the ranking.. and we should not.
Simply go there..play your good game and win.

Easy to say, hard to do. Especially when the players confidence is so low. Now the pressure will be much more on Ash. I am sure he will come down the order against Ireland.
I still can't believe what a performance BD showed. If this is a nightmare someone please wake me up. I have had enough.

Yes, we are ready. I would keep things simple, and play on the pitches that our players are most comfortable playing, rather than what Irish are incapable of.
And assign the right umpires.

These losses have eroded the players confidence, also I think that there is internal conflict with so many newbies. this was not a time to bring in so many newbies. hasan was a success, but the rest were useless. Everyone called for Mushy to be dropped, but Dhiman is no better. Mushy at least got along well with the whole team and gelled them . I hope they drop Dhiman and bring back Mushy.

Who is going to keep?
Unless we bowl on the middle stick all the time and, thereby force the batsmen to play each ball. No, swing or spin. It can get a nick and go to the boundary. Another aprroach is ask the first slip to chase any ball that drible past the wickets.

I still feel that Mushy must be brought back and Dhiman dropped. He is no better than Mushy, cannot run and cannot bat. At least Mushy was very active behind the wicket, he also has more experience with the bowlers and gelled the team. I saw no gelling of this team at all, no plan, everyone did their own thing and there was no team spirit.
If Siddons can sit with them and review videos of Ireland batting and bowling, this will help them. I dont think that he can do much at the moment to improve batting and bowling, but he can try to make them believe in themselves again that they can play good cricket and win again.

Don't think ireland is a minnow compared to BD. It is exactly this attitude that is letting bangladesh down. Start respecting your opponents no matter how small they are. Look how south africa chased on the pitch. Did they go bang bang after the bowling disrespecting bangla even though they are world no.1 team and bangla is world no.8 ? No. Unless Bangladesh players start respecting opponents and they will get nowhere. This over-estimation of one's own talent is really a bad trend among bangladesh players.

I second that motion.
Mushy brings "life" in the field...
We can't keep experimenting with new faces while playing a series.

i wil be so sad that tears may come out of my eyes if BD looses even 1 match ireland.
no way we can accept a loss against them.4get evrything, we have to uphold the reputation of being a test playing nation.we may loose against evryone and that wldnt be painful than loosing against teams that are below us like ireland, zimbabwe..

Well, pakistan lost against Ireland in the WC, India lost against BD in the WC, These teams are known as minnows, and beat much better teams. How do fans know here that BD is a better team than Ireland.IMO, they are a very irresponsible group of boys. Smith said so, he did not spare criticism of them. Two captains were compared- One was a mercedes who talked the talk and walked the walk, the other was a Ford who could only talk. I am sure that if Ash could have buried his face in the sand, he would have done so.
I think that it is now getting to him that he is losing his popularity and the love story is turning sour now.
I read that there was a petition by fans to have him removed as captain outside the stadium, and I am sure that it has come to his attention and the selectors attention,, but they cannt appoint anyone else, there is no one at the moment capable of becoming captain, so they have to stick with him.
Ireland is coming to BD with lots of confidence because they have just won two matches and the are looking toi repeat whagt they did in the world cup.

In the whole series? I think they can do better than that. at least 450+ (assuming 150 for each ODI)

the problem is with our batsmans in the first place..... so ireland or greenland isnt the concern....
to win against ireland, I am solely banking on our bowlers. For example if we can hold ireland under 170 runs... we have a decent chance....
ashraful will still go for that "dhaka crowd er tali paoa" shots for 4s and 6s... eita ki ar bole dia lage....

Dhurr....Ireland o fatai dibe amader ke. These "batsmen" need to learn how to hold a bat before they win any matches.
