Wait for the DG owner to come up and say "The sponsors haven't paid us and why isn't anyone bothered about that?" for the umpteenth time

I thought Sheena has done reasonably well this year and sort of grown into the role.
She is asking mature and important questions when interviewing players/officials.
Her on set presentation is also more insightful compared to her last year's stint.

Really dissatisfied with the quality of players we have in BPL 2. You guys may label me as a pro Pakistani but I have to say this.

BPL2 would've been more colorful, more competitive if we had Pak players. Players like shapoor, Coventry, Neil are not adding any color to BPL. What will our players learn from them? Why would people waste their hard earn money to see those below par players play? And they are complaining about empty stands. I know price is a factor but its not the main one.

Can't wait for SL star players to show up.

^ yep, Khulna made a big mistake having too many Pakistanis there. No need to color whole league due to them.

I am not going start the debate all over again. It's been done and dusted. I think I am entitled to my opinion here and my opinion is BPL 2 would've been lot better if we had some quality Pak players like Nazir, Shehzad, Gul, Ajmal.

Still would've been ok had they replaced Pak players with some quality players but the replacement we got is face palm worthy

Eoin Morgan and Samit Patel most likely to be axed by England for NZ Tour. Can BPL Franchise sign them?

Roman bhai is Pak lover

On a serious note, yes the tournament lost some glamour and quality due to their absence. But I also hated the fact that Pak players dominated BPL1 and our local players barely got a chance. This year at least we are seeing Shamsur, Nasir, Nayeem Jnr and other players getting some exposure and doing well. I think PSL will fail and we will see those players back for BPL3.

The key word in your post has been highlighted.

Paksitanian players...fine. But only the good ones, please. I never ever want to hear about one of our franchises choosing Umar Amins, Sharjeel Khans, Raja Ali Dars and Saeed Anwar Jrs, etc, again.

I share the same opinion as Mufi.
for the crowd the ticket price needs to be reduced.
But I'm missing better qlty commies and more celebrities getting involved, like brand ambassador,
I miss Neha Dhopi, Bappi Lahiri , Rohan Gavaskar,Zayeed Kh.
ok I'm kidding abt the Bolly celebs but deshi celebs like Bindu,NObel,Mahfuz & more media coverage had made BPL1 more exciting, BPL 1 looked more like a festival last year.
I also miss the catwalk of cricketers,
I understand that it was more jakjomok as it was the very first season but I don't know what happened this yr, I expected it to be more attractive.

But as far as the quality of cricket is concerned I'm not so disappointed.

Excellent point. It is indeed very pleasing to see our desi players rocking the show. I dint like Pak players dominated last year either but I think our players learnt a lot from them and gained confidence. BPL1 made us mentally tough, not sure what BPL 2 can do

I am all for quality foreign players for BPL. Be it from Pakistan or Afganistan or Nepal. I want those type of players who can teach our players a thing or two. And some Pakistani players certainly did that last year.

Its a blessing in disguise that you don't see Pakistani players,, otherwise players like Shubho, Dolar or Taimul wouldnt be playing,, we wouldve seen Bilal Bhatti or Hammad Azam like Pakistani players.

However, I agree with SIMON, we are seeing some really unpredictable T20 match.. Who wouldve thought Rangpur can win against fancied Chittagong team? Also, the way Rajshahi is pushing each games, its really anybodys game until the 20th over. Other than Dhaka and Sylhet who BTW, are under professional coaching staff, every team is throwing surprises and quality of cricket is still there.

My gripe and dissapointment ( other than player payment) for BPL 2 is with the crowd turnout or lack thereof. BCB should take the ticketing responsiblity next time. Yes, they will lose money on bidding but nothing is more important than having the next Mashrafee, Shakib, Nannu, Bulbul to be watching the game live and not being deprived due to high ticket cost. The empty stands are slap on BCBs face.. when there was literally riots to get tickets 2 months ago, why isnt there one now for T20 match? With the volume, BCB wouldnt have lost much money than giving it to some unknown new companies who are only there to make up their bidding money, has no interest in cricket and has no idea how to do ticket pricing for the crowd..

With which option would they (the organisers) make more profit with between the two above??
Clearly...the second one. Its no rocket-science...
Let me break it to you, organizers responsible for managing tickets prices probably have not taken one course in basic Economics, not one of them have. So if you were to talk about Supply and Demand with them and show them a graph and explain equilibrium price they'd all go 'eta ki?'.

Probably the organizers were hoping for something like this to happen:

http://www.amadershomoy2.com/content...middle0928.htm

Translation: Chittagong Mayor buys 10 lakh taka tickets on his own expense to give it out for free to school students so that he can show the world Chittagong is a Cricket freindly city...

The SLPL hardly had any crowd as well but the difference between their tournament and our one are the drums, flutes and all these other musical instruments which to the mind naturally make it less noticeable as your ears are drawn to the music. This BPL has not quite gone right but no surprises, our board is an embarrassment.
