We're all out in less than a day with those 3 in the team... and JO and Bashar aren't going to be around much longer, there is no point dragging those two on and on... they aren't that valuable anymore. I'd rather we give the opportunity to some young players who've been playing domestic 3/4/5 day matches for some while now.

As for passion... I don't know if Bashar has ever shown that!

Let's face it - we will, most probably, lose those Test matches in NZ, within 3 days or 4 days. JO-Bashar-Pilot gang are not going make a big of a difference there. By excluding those guys, we can give younger guys a good exposure to non-subcontinental wickets - we can gain atleast this much out of those matches.

I absolutely love this guy's comments. They're hilariously inaccurate

This lineup needs to be used both for Tests and ODI's. We have a lot of good batsmen in this lineup and the usual bowlers. I don't want to here all the crap about so and so not being suitable for Tests. Right now IMO we need to treat a Test match as an ODI. We are scoring way more runs in ODI's then Tests. Play the first 50 overs of a Test like an ODI and then assess the situation from there.

If batsmen go out to play like playing ODI's, then why play Test Cricket?

i dont understand your logic. in this way, they should only bat the first innings as 50 overs, then the true opposing Test side can bat for 2 days, amass over 500 runs and send in BD to bat, bowl them out in 50 overs and win the match by an innings and ---- runs. If BD is always in ODI mood, then they can never play Test matches which require patience and perseverence and this is what BD batsmen have to develop. Forget about this ODI mentality in Test matches.

I'll be happy as long as Aftab and Shahadat is picked for both squads

Permutation and combination of team selection will go on, totally forgetting the actual task, i.e. to play good cricket. Many of the BD cricket fans don't learn, let alone the players and management.

Come on brother ... let's see your 15s. Don't worry about the Alok bashers, আমরা আছি আপনার সাথে এবং থাকবো ...

I don't want to offend anyone, but Nazimuddin is rubbish. He had one good performance against pakistan in an insignificant T20 tournament before the main event. Every time he played in the World T20 he seemed desperately out of his depth.

I agree it's too early to pick a test side for New Zealand, but rajin Saleh should bat at 3, Tamim should be dropped (possibly for Junaid Siddique?) and Alok Kapali SHOULD NEVER BE PICKED EVER AGAIN!

Sorry but you are crazy putting in Junaid instead of JO

JO is king of Bangla test cricket

Who ever they select, the only player that should be dropped is ALOK "amare shob shomai keno" KHAPALI who is a crapy of a player on the international arena. Maybe he is great in the National League but he gets the gitters when he is playing on an international scene.I think he has been too many chances. But to be fair we could try him for one more test. And then the BOOT.

PS:
I think that Junaid and Mahmudullah is a great find. Need to see who them 2 perform in a bigger level.
Stick with Tamim in the ODIs as he is a great feilder
Shahriar Nafees...only tests please

Tamim is about the best fielder in the squad, if his batting can be improved, he will be an asset as he is still young. He has to learn to be patient and not to slug each and every ball. Aftab is one of the best batsmen if he can curb his over aggression.

All our batsmen look as if they are the best going around at least once in their career. Sadly their career just doesn't seem to last very long...

Nara akbar bell tolai jai...
once in a blue moon if they perform that is enough for them
once they are up in the moon they start dreaming to have moonlike wife and have family as early as possible, career dia perform koira ki hobe....

NZ tour will be a good tour for shopping in NZ and seeing new "attractions". Our batsmen will gain valuable experience that they are missing while playing "picnic" NCL. As we are very "young" team, this will be a tour with "experiments".

... great team ...

How about this batting order for tests. For ODIs: sub Raj Kapali for Enam K; Rasel Kapali instead for either Rajib K or Dollar K; Mahmudullah Alok for Mehrab K for playing further down the order as Aftab K takes the #3 spot; Nazmus Sadat Alok for Rokib K; and Abir Kapali for Rajin K ...

1. Zunaed Kapali
2. Nazim Kapali
3. Mehrab Kapali (tests only)
4. Ashraf Al Kapali
5. Aftab Kapali
6. Alok Kapali
7. Mushy Kapali
8. Mash Al Kapali
9. Dollar Kapali
10. Rajib Kapali
11. Enam Al Kapali

Reserves for tests: Rajin Kapali (tests only), Rokib Al Kapali (tests only), Raj Kapali, Rafique Kapali and Dhiman Kapali.

ODI specialists: Abir Kapali, Nazmus Sadat Alok, Mahmudullah Alok and Rasel Kapali.

Coach: ??? Kapali.

Bangladesh is still very inconsistent, but the team has probably more young talents than ever: Junaid, Tamin, Shariar, Nazimuddin, Mehrab, Mahmadullah, Sakib, Mushfiq, Razzak, Shahadat, Rasel, Enamul, Nazimul... others I may forget!

But maybe veterans like Rafique, Bashar, Mashud, Javed could still be called for the NZ tour... who knows?
