Perhaps this is why RI did not write the bulletin?

'Trying to win could have been risky' - Bashar
Rabeed Imam
January 18, 2005
Asides from not including the stat that Arnab dug up re 300+ for chase and results, this article is pretty decent and at least explains what went on and contains - shock! gasp! - acknowledgement from Taibu that BD was the better side. I suspect CricIndo told Rabeed, don't worry about the bulletin, go do interviews and what not. Hopefully this will put the latest conspiracy theory to rest.

chill, there was never a conspiracy theory. It's a joke. You know joke , as in april fool, only that some took it as life and death.
Actually, the match was decided last night, the rest, well, excitement for a few sorry souls, like me, with nothing better.

Guys after the series Bangladesh has 6 points. If they won the second game it would have been 8 points. However, if they lost chasing and leveled the series they would have ended up with 3 points.
Strategically correct decision as Whatmore and Bashar know the limitations. But I still think a run rate of 2.25 as opposed to 1.6 would have been a better choice during the first sessions on 5th day..
Anyway lets look forward to INshallah a 5-0 ODI result.
Thanks
Azim
