Default BD vs NZ: Media Reports

New Zealand battled to a two-wicket win over hosts Bangladesh, while Pakistan and Sri Lanka also enjoyed opening victories.

The Kiwis reached their target of 203 with just four balls and two wickets remaining.

All-rounder Sam McKay (40 not out) kept his cool to hit the winning runs off the second in front of a crowd of more than 15,000.

His sixth-wicket partnership with Anton Devcich (36) turned the match decisively in New Zealand's favour after they had stuttered to 118-6.

Earlier, Craig Smith took 4-43 for the Kiwis while Bangladesh opener Nafis Iqbal hit 67

Quote:
"I have never played in front of a crowd of more than about 500 before so this was very exciting" - Sam McKay, NZ man-of-the-match in Dhaka. The game was played in front of 15,000 fans.
