It's not BCB's fault this time.

CCDM Cup called off
Sports Reporter
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have postponed their proposed CCDM Cup tournament.
"We have decided to postpone the tournament as the participating clubs showed their unwillingness to play the tournament in a concise form. Two clubs already regretted their participations but the remaining clubs wants to play in full force," said GS Hasan Tamim, chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM).
BCB had approved the tournament in it's meeting on April 11 in a concise form after Abahani and Surjo Torun pulled out their participations.
BCB was desperate to arrange this tournament as it is in the calendar as they didn't want to break it.

Absolutely with you on this Gowza....Here we are constatntly struggling in test cricket and going to sleep every night with the fear if ICC will retain our test status in the morning and BCB cancels these three day match tournament to make room for more T20 craps? These T20 joke is bastardized fromat of the game and a true insult to the history/process/concept of the game and we keep rolling with it thinking this is where the wind is blowing? True lack of education is at work at the highest speed here!!! Why? Do we really play T20s that well either? I have never seen any sign of that either. Do we really want to be known/remembered as a team/nation that once played very poor test cricket for a decade and then got kicked out and now they only play T20s only? We truly very desperately need an education over-haul in the country and restructure/reshape society and these warped make money quick, play cricket quick, sell fake products and make quick money, smuggle and backstab your own family/friend mindsets that we possess right at this moment...We are in danger water and we are only sinking! Our great good culture is also washing down the drain faster than I can pray!!!

i would rather we know how to play at least one of the formats ... at the moment we are crap in everything and seeing how the T20 WC is coming up and it is a chance to display our worth in world cricket i think this is def. the right move. we will retain our test status as long as we remain competitive in ALL formats of the game. teams will hardly play us for test matches if we are no good in T20s as it doesn't generate enough money. The truth is that the world is a money hungry place and we have to roll with the trends.

When it comes to long term improvement, we fail all the time due to so many circumstances. Easy money, lack of interest and easily giving up are the main cause of zero growth in all these years in longer version of the game.

I have not noticed before that Abul Hasan (RMF) and Shabbir Rahman (LB) from current U/19 team were top wicket takers in last DPL! I will be definitely keeping eye on those two from now on.

Abul Hasan and Sabbir got some serious treatment from the English U19 lads. Hope they comeback strong in the ODIs!
