Oh, how the mighty pak team fails. On the other note, It's about time that NZ start to deliver. But I believe, that this team would not be fully ready yet to handle the new Aussie juggernaut.

Even you guys are doing it now, we never get respect

Australia are our rivals, we have the best chance of all teams of beating them

Lets be fair, I think its the unproven batting line-up.

I knew beforehand NZ would definitely beat the over-rated undisciplined pakistanis, they had the advantage of having vettori's left arm spin and seam bowlers who were able to extract the bounce on the pitch.

but the only way I see NZ beating Australia, is if they restrict then to a 250 total on a slow pitch, and batting out of their skins ro reach it.

All in all, 5:2 in favour of australia beating NZ.

Though for the future is concerned, once their batting line up is more experienced, and they find/develop new seamers, then I see NZ returning where it was during the Stephen Fleming Era.

Good that they beat Pakistan.

Now beat the Aussies!!!!!

Btw if they want to beat Aussies, Mculllum, Taylor and Guptil has to score big and in bowling Bond has to bowl better than today. I didn't like the way Mcullum got out today. It was like worse than how Ahsraful gets out most of the time. He should stand up against Aussies!!

we drew 2-2 with Australia in Australia last time we went there

the 5th game was rained off with some controversy as we were marching towards a 3-2 victory

I give up on this site, good bye

Tell Baz to get a new tat, maybe that will inculcate some newfound respect amongst us fanatics who loves to see sledgers, dopers and player who gets sidetracked with sirenic, svengali charm from Tisha!

Quote:
Brendon McCullum has a lot of tattoos. What's up with that? asked Nash P from South Africa

How many tattoos does a man need to sport before you can call him a man? One of the great questions of our age, to rank alongside "How many seas must a white dove sail before she can rest her head in the sand?" (Which conveniently overlooks the point that such a dove would in all likelihood be a bloody ostrich and not a dove, in fact, but that's another matter. Who would expect any good out of a folk singer Bob Willis was named after, anyway?)

If you're a cricketer, you need more tattoos than the average sportsman because you need to overcompensate to quell people's suspicions that cricket isn't all that cool. Our Baz has taken this task seriously. As seriously as he takes his gum-chewing on the field - in which effort he comes second only to the great Vivian Richards in the all-time rankings.

It helps that he's from New Zealand, whose cricket team have a bit of a bad-boy thing going, with their black uniforms, stubbly sullenness, excessive drinking (well, one of them anyway), and tradition of vicious dibbly-dobbly bowling.

Baz isn't from the weedy David Beckham school, and so wouldn't dream of inking a loved one's name on in a foreign language. And really, what's the point of having tattoos all over you if they're going to say the name of some girl in Sanskrit or "Mom 4 Ever"? Tattoos are for jackboot-wearing tough guys, not weedy mama's boys.

Baz, knowing full well that mathematicians get the girls, has roman numbers inscribed on his arms. (This also serves as a tribute to the noble civilisation that gave birth to cricket by creating the vital concept of the centurion before the game itself existed.) Rumour has it these are his cap numbers, but really, who other than your class six teacher really knows what CXXVI XLII CCXXIV really stands for? Could be Aramaic for "I used to have tattoos in English but got bored", for all you know. Or cryptic strategy notes John Buchanan had inked on to him during the IPL. Or shopping list reminders: "Mustn't forget the dye this time. Roots looking awful."
For those who always wanted to know about McCullum's tats.

Sweet that pakistan is out. Thanks to their captain. Besides his own performance in batting and fielding, I was pleased to see the way he allowed easy singles in the middle overs. With his bowling attack, defending 233 should have been a walk in the park.

I was preparing to support Aus in the final. Now that NZ have made it, I am all for NZ, no matter if the recently super-sensitive nzfan stays in BC or not.

For some reason I have lost interest after the first semi-final. England should not have been there in the first place. Lanka-Aus semi-final could really flare up the fire, Its now an all Oceanian affair. NZ might repeat their heroic winning run and might win the trophy.

Loose shot, good lift off the track, and McCullum goes for a 14-ball duck. Massive blow. He continues to struggle in crunch games. First strike to Australia. Here's Martin Guptill.

3.2

Siddle to McCullum, OUT, edged and taken! Siddle takes out McCullum with bounce, bangs it in and gets McCullum flashing outside off stump, there's a thin nick and Paine gobbles it up

BB McCullum c †Paine b Siddle 0 (14b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Now Hauritz puts a worry face on me. Guptil gone. Caught and bowled = 40 points + 15 bonus.

What NZ is doing out there is getting squashed by the Aussie bulldozer. I think bd team from 09 would've stood a better chance of pulling an upset than this weakened NZ team.
