Default Put off my Dhaka trip

I had bought tickets to go to Dhaka this winter - Dec 23 - Jan 4.

With regret, sadness, and anger I just now canceled. Too much uncertainty in Bangladesh. Quite a few of my friends have done the same.

Hire an ambulance to travel around inside Dhaka & avoid visiting outside city area. You should be fine I hope.

We had a chance when all these savages were put in jail last election. Still our society didnt take this opportunity to get rid of them.

I just returned from a two week trip to Dhaka....even ambulances aren't safe any more. If you have military contacts, try leveraging that to go through the cantonment.

Meh, not necessarily, but it depends on the area. In places like I live, near Panthapath, violence breaks out at any time.

Good on you AKabir bhai. There is nothing to be scared of. I am going from Dec 18- Jan 15th. All this will end very very soon. The election schedule will be changed as well. Just wait and see.

Shob Allah er bhrosha.....lets hope not only the ones who are travelling to Bangladesh are safe but also the common law abdiding citizens are safe too in the midst of this turmoil.

If this continues, I hope the army steps in and brings law and order into the country.

^^^ that's "they" are hopping for...
I hope the army keep themselves out of this nasty politics.

I wonder if this is the time for the hundred and thousands of Projonmo Chottor activists to come out and stand against the two evils to save the sufferings of the general people and help form a govt. without the known corrupt politicians...

maybe. but idea is, we only have two options and both are dangerous. no matter who we choose, WE are DOOMED!!

what is more dangerous? the way we lose unity by vehemently supporting either of the two evils.

Why we have to support these two evils?

You can run but you can never hide from these 2 wicked ladies..We don't have an alternative. Thats the ruthless truth. And those 2 (I'll get banned if I say what I think of them) $&@# know very well that no matter how many times we jump up and down like a monkey, we will eventually end up electing one of them. So no chinta do furti. Jalao gari porao desh. Ei ta to amader baap aar jamaiyer desh.

And no matter how badly we want this nuisance to stop, it wont stop until we get a strong 3rd party. And no..Ho Mo Ershad is not the answer. And I don't see a strong 3rd party rising anytime soon
