I contacted Fox Sports World Canada (FSWC) by e-mail and asked if they would be providing any coverage of the Cup, as they are supposed to be oriented towards non-American sports like rugby and cricket. I heard back from one of their reps today who said the channel is trying to get Canadian rights to the event. I would encourage all Canadian cricket fans to send them a message of interest/support. The rep's name is Jon Goodspeed (jgoodspeed@globaltv.ca). If this channel gets the rights, then we can get the games on cable. FSWC is a digital channel, so you would need a digital tunner (rental is $9 a month) and a single digital channel costs less than $3/month in Toronto, so this would be alot more affordable than satellite. I really hope they pull through. No way am I spending hundreds of bucks to buy a dish just for a few games.
