Disagree, he loves the pace on the ball. He doesn't like slow wickets. He is a timing based player. The only other reason Soumya should have opened is that he doesn't really fit in the middle order. You can't get the best out of him there.

In the NZ tour Liton was exposed due to the pace and swing. Liton like many batsman he likes pace as long as its in the zone on a slow wicket

Was that a joke? I mean 3rd umpire at least told 3 times to give me ULTRA EDGE but for some reason there wasn't. Is this ICC tournament or a Club tournament

That was the swing not the pace itself. Liton is good on his back foot.

200 looks far from here now. If mushy gets out I doubt the rest can add even 50 runs

And the pace....... NZ bowlers are known for both hence he should not be batting as an opener. Like I said Liton thrives on pace of the bowler on a slow wicket

He was unlucky on the umpires call. It was sliding inside.

Very difficult wicket. No wonder even the monster batting of India could only manage 220 odd

That was totally unprofessional from the technical staffs. The ultra edge should be made available whenever asked.

Yeah, something strange about that. I mean, it didn't seem like there was any bat, but somehow it seemed like the person providing the feed to the third umpire decided to just skip it?
