i have the same feeling. they are just ( plus me ) flying high now. they need to forget what they did yesterday. they need to concentrate on what they need to do today.

don't get your hopes up and the bad feeling will go away haha.
I won't be one bit surprised if Ashraful took one step (or 10) back today and got out playing a reverse sweep in the 3rd over. Dissapointed but not surprised.

I hope not to see the old Bangladesh team.
If you reflect on our short ODI cricketing history, we can divide our development into two phase: 1) We hardly used to win match after gaining our ODI status 2) Now, we are beating big guns in ODI but we are very inconsistent. The third phase that we are all hoping for is beating big guns consistently. As fans we hope that the third phase comes sooner but we must realize for that to happen our cricketting culture must change, and the change process has already begun. Its just about time for the whole system to be changed in order for us to have players who are consistent enough in international level. If we can win this series this will be hint or glimpse of our movement to the right direction. This will officially mark our arrival to the competitive world of big boys.
On the other side it may not happen now, may take more time than what we fans anticipate. Just like all of us here, I too just can't wait for us to get on par with big boys.

Those who are not getting Mahmood bhai's post - he is pretty much pushing back all his emotions and telling himself - DO NOT GET EXCITED. I feel like that too sometimes, and when we do lose, as we have done before, BADLY, the pain was somehow less. So, I understand him completely (I hope that's what he is doing, eheh).
As for myself, we have some very good players, who are confused about their ability and thusfar, have been inconsistent. With the ICL saga, the pressure on them to perform has increased tremendously and the best part is - if they were nervous, they didn't show it. Which makes this old masochist proud and hopeful. I'm hoping for 2-0 today.

Mahmood bhai - I'll say it for you - YOU TOLD US SO.
You obviously learned from your experience, I didn't. Jita match here gelam, mostly cause we lost our ghilu after restricting NZ to 115/7. Could have been overconfidence. Let's see what happens on ODI#3.
