Default Bashar & the definition of stupid

The definition of STUPID:

Stupid is someone who does something the same way again and again, but expects different result each time.

Bashar may be a talented batsman ... but he is STUPID, by definition.

MORON

this is what describe bashar best. i think its a american word and some people are not familiar with it. but moron and stupid are not same. stupids are much better.

on another thread i said he has the responsibility of a 2 year old kid. but now that i think of it, that was an insult to 2 year olds.

I did not know that moron was an american word. Also did not know that stupids are better than morons.

Thanks for the linguistic lesson. There are so many things to learn in life ... :P

Not a question of finding a scapegoat. In this particular Test match, Bashar has been by far the most idiotic. His first innings dismissal was the WORST EVER! And then, just to rub it in our face, he got out pulling a low skidder again! What an idiot. And he dropped a sitter! Well done skip, leading by example!

Which thing went right for us in this test? Started with losing toss and list of "things went wrong" grown like a cancer from that point.

We suck at catching, but in which test none of our players (except pilot) could hold a single catch?

Bashar was only one actor of this horror show.

I know you are Bashar's biggest fan, but face it, the buck stops with the guy on top! And that is how it should be. What is he captain for if he isnt going to take responsibility for his team's performance. Not to mention his own.

You can't blame Aftab or Nafees in the same way that you can and should blame Bashar. They are young guys trying to make their bones in international cricket. He is a veteran by Bangladesh's standards and he is the captain. He is supposed to lead by example, that is his job! He started the downslide, and instead of making ammends for it, he did the same damn idiotic thing again. If he is going to do that, why should you even blame the younger, brasher, and less experienced guys?

Like Bashar all you want, I like him too, personally as well since I think he is a great guy, but a complete moron out on the field in this Test and the fact that he has average 35 before this Test shouldnt take away from that. Almost everyone tried harder than him!! Actually, take away the almost. Everyone tried harder than he did in this Test!

What I dislike most about Bashar's captaincy is that he is very conventional. Never tries something unusal. He never uses his part time bowlers properly. Somethime he uses them but by then its very late.

I called him Sagol years ago, if you read my old posting and some were defending him like crazy. He is not only stupid or dumb but he actually ruins the whole team sprit by playing dumbest shot repeatedly. What kind of responsible sr batsman (captain or not) will play this kind of shots and throw away wicket and you expect a 16 year old will learn from him? He is the problem in BD team, he needs to be removed all together, not as captain but also as an irresponsible player. ei gadha-ta abar borai kore, 'i play my natural game', does he even know what 'natural' game in test means?

leave bashar alone. yea he made the same mistake twice but thats just his style of playing. he always been playing like that. pull shots are his bread and butter. he is an attacking cricketer. the problem with our cricketers is that they cannot change their game according to the needs of the team. we see players like ashraful bashar(most valuable batsman in our team) plays attacking shots even when the team is in trouble for losing early wickets. they just cannot change their game. its just a habit and i think its too late for bashar to change that. maybe he shouldnt. because the attacking approach made him the best batsman in our team. sometimes that approach works and sometimes it doesnt and in this match it didnt.
STUPIT- IS SOMEONE WHO DOES SOMETHING AGAIN AND AGAIN AND EXPECTS THE DIFFERENT RESULTS. well maybe true but bashar tries these kind of pull shots all the time and most of the time he do get good result. 3 centuries 19 half centuries 2299 runs in 36 test. you guys are critisizing him so much tell me this. NAME ONE PLAYER IN OUR TEAM WITH BETTER RECORD THEM HIM. I WILL GIVE YOU THE ANSWER. NO ONE.

Anyone who is capable of scoring 50's in test cricket is a dangerous batsman and if the same guy is capable of centuries in test cricket then he should'nt be branded "Stupid" , whether he hails from England,
Namibia or Bangladesh.

The bottomline is that most of the players were irresponsible in this match, (which happened to take place at Lords of all places) and at the end of the day the captain faces the music.

Why do i get a nauseating feeling reading the title of this thread?
