Race has very little effect height, the maximum variances are probably ~1-2 inches.
Bulbul visited the developed parts of China, where the children are well nourished and grow in a stress free environment, this has the most effect on height.
Thats why British born Bengalis usually tower over their Bengali-born counterparts.
Why should it matter how tall he was, last time I checked Bulbul wasnt our Steve Harmison?

People laughs at Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharaft, but he rightly addressed Bulbul as the "জীবন্ত কিংবদন্তি" of Bangladesh cricket in one of his interviews. Proud of our first test centurion's passion for the game.

That's an impressive vdo of my favorite player. His Chinese is also very good. The way the vdo started (him walking on the bridge) - I thought he is going to do some "Crouching tiger, hidden dragon" move
Even though its nice to see him helping out country like China, I'd prefer him helping out our boys here. He actually wanted to do that but u know Bangladeshi politics at BCB - didn't let him

I think its pronounced "mongzala"; yea thats Bangladesh. If you see a Chinese, who doesn't know where/what Bangladesh is; just tell him you are talking about "mongzala"

Its natural for Chinese to get coaches from BD and Pak. It was several years ago when I read about his coaching job in China (I believe there is BC thread on this topic). Looks like he has come a long way. Good luck to him in his journey.
Now, the question of the day is; how did Babubangla find this youtube link and where is the Part 2

Bulbul you are the man!!!
I am really proud of this guy and saw him play ever since wc99 where he captained pretty well and professionally and I'm glad to see he is still actively involved in developing this great game in other nations..
also very impressed by his Mandarin!

In my best Kent Brockman impersonation: "I for one welcome any impending Chinese domination. It would free us from the Indian board's hegemony at least!"
As for Bulbul, what can I say - any batsman, who in his twilight years, having never played serious first class cricket, scores the 2nd highest century in a maiden Test, deserves mad props. I still remember when I was in Willes and he represented Bangladesh in the ICC XI in the 1st U-19 cup in Australia - the guys has just always brought it!

So happy and proud.....Bulbul has been my favourite player since 1992 when I first saw him play....Before he played that innings of 145 on debut he had hardly scored any runs in the domestic circuit that season and I was just keeping my fingers crossed that they would pick him for the eleven....I knew and believed deeply that he would come good on the big stage when it mattered like he so often used to do (1998 Independence Cup v India the same story when he was having a horrible domestic season but the selectors showed faith in him and he delivered)... I was so proud...He was the rare breed....One of the very few of the pre-test Bangladesh era who had incredible talent and determination to go with it....If he had the opportunity to play regular test cricket at his prime like these guys do nowadays he would have averaged atleast double of what Ashraful has....So proud of you...

He is speaking Mandarin, I lived in Taipei for a year and i learnt the language somewhat so I could have understood what he said.
I must say that he had done a marvellous job, because it is a tough language to learn.

For example, the tallest player in the NBA, Yao Ming, is a Chinese, who is 7'-6".
