Default Namibia has quite a good pace attack

Zoheb Shah at Cricinfo World Cup forum has said that from unofficial sources he has heard that Namibia has quite a good pace attack.

He added, ".. if this is the case, then watch out because they can be an unknown force come the world cup."

Default Who is Zoheb Shah ?

If you read our board, people would think MASRI is Brett LEE.

No reason giving NAMIBIA (of all teams) GOD status when they are only an ICC associate team who lost to Holland in the finals. We all know what we did to holland in the Champions trophy.

As long as our players don't care much about this bogus FEAR tactics, we should be fine.

Tehsin, my fear is, and I hope it is uncalled for - that Canada (from WI) and mainly Namibia (from SA), are stacking their teams with quality first class players.

Yes, I agree, if all goes well, we should be looking at 5-0 in BD's favor. But maybe, after losing 3 in a row, they will just get bored. I wonder why we are not playing 3 games - player injury risk is simply too high with 5+2(SA) = 7 games prior to the wc.

We should have had 5 TOTAL, either (2+3) or (3+2).

But then again, I am not aware of logistics or scheduling conflicts etc.

Default From Papers

From what I have read in yesterday's papers, there were actually EIGHT (8) games in the one day series in Namibia.

And it was scheduled 1 and half year ago.

Only recently, after a meeting consisting of BD Manager - ASM Faruque, Captain Pilot, Coach may be, and some BCB officials that they had cut down the number of matches to 5.

Thats a BD standard lie. Probably what happened is, one and a half years ago, Namibia sent us an Invitation, we threw it away. Now WC is nead, we dug it up and accepted it coz SA or ZIM wont take us.

Zimbabwe are to arrange their own matches - own WARM UP matches before the world cup - that's all I know, while all other teams - including Kenya will be playing at least 2 warm up games against South African domestic teams.
