Excellent. Very pleased with this. Win or Lose, this is the way to go. We need a U-19 coach like McInnes and de Winter now.

I am slightly disappointed with the itinerary. There is no practice match to acclimatize to the condition before the first 4 day match. It will be difficult for the boys to perform straightway on a very different surface.

Next time you have a chance to talk to anyone in the development board let them know. They must allow the boys before asking great performances.

I had high hopes for Nadif....especially for the ODI format...his hard hitting abilities and fielding skills were the primary causes. Since he is no longer bowling, he needs to bat up the order. Hopefully he works hard and goes back to domestic cricket since he is still quite young.

Six fast bowlers in the squad. This must be our weakest bowling attack as we rely too much on our Spin bowling.
Only notable spinner is Nasir Hussain and Marshall

Why no Sohrwardi Shuvo, Shamsur Rahman or Sajidul Islam?

I am looking forward to see how Robiul Islam, Subashis Roy, Marshall Ayub, Mithun Ali and Nasir Hossain get along.

there are quite a few players missing (shuvo, shamsur, sajidul, ziaur, nazmus, milon, delwar, saju datta, talha, nabil samad) but i think they picked a pretty decent squad.

There was a mention in Prothom-Alo that A-team is getting ready to tour Maharashtra. May be Shuvo, Dollar, Shamsu, etc are kept behind for that tour.

My guess is that Saqlain Sajib will be the main spinner of the team, at least for four day matches. He has taken more wickets in last Dhaka premier league than Shuvo (or Nasir) did, so may not be too bad for one-days either.

‘From this year we have decided not to accept any player in the academy aged above 23. It will help us spot the right talent and hone his skills over a one year period,’ said former cricketer Shakil Kashem, who is in charge of the academy, while announcing the team.

‘The South Africa tour is part of their graduation,’ said Kashem.
