Soumya without bowling a ball I seem is a better option, abul really needs to try and group it in the good line and length far more consistently them maybe a wicket will come, he's wicketless in 6 matches now

I think it is safe to say that he is not going to Australia.

We shouldn't prematurely jump to any conclusion. He just had a bad opening spell and went for a few. Abul went pass Raza's bat twice and could have picked him up. He was getting very good bounce and shape -unfortunately not the right length. Shakib was just as expensive in his initial spell. Also, Jubair the other day. We need to back our cricketers selected to play for the country. There must be good reasons behind their selection at the first place.
I am backing Abul and not just for the sake of it.

Abul need to be sent back to domestics to work on his bowling - it is pretty obvious.
Rubel, Shafiul, Al Amin, Taskin, and even Shahid are well ahead of pecking order atm.

Yes, Abul needs to go back to the domestic to get his rhythm back and work on his fitness. I don't think he is fully fit. And, Shafiul and Al Amin need to play domestic, too.
There is a big difference between Abul and Shafi or Al Amin. Abul can bat. If he gets his bowling in shape witnin the next weeks he will get my vote ahead of the others.

I'm really disappointed with Abul. He really sprays a lot in international matches and could not get his length right couple of times in each over, though seem to get nice away shape for a while.
Abul can bat in ODIs is a myth. His only noteworthy contribution with bat is in a test match!
Most Importantly he is YET to take a wicket in an ODI !!!
The four pacers I would like to take to WC2015 are
1) Mashrafee Mortaza (Automatic Choice)
2) Taskin Ahmed (He's playing DPL and doing well)
3) Rubel Hussain ( Did well against Zim ODIs and has been a decent ODI bowler)
4) Al-Amin Hussain (Did well against away in WI, though struggled against ZIM at home)
Shafiul and Abul would be reserve pacer staying at home during the world Cup.

Receives all the unnecessary criticism. He has potential. Serious. Has got a good slower delivery. He will come good against Pakistan.

How many wickets he got in total even in the domestic cricket?

That's the same feeling that I have based on whatever I have seen when he played for the national team. He is raw but has potential.
Is he ready? may be not.
But if he can polish his bowling further, he can be a very good bowler and effective lower end batsman. With him we may not need to fill up the batting order will extra batsman ( that we are doing right now).
If our bowling coach take him under his wings, who knows we may see a different matured Abul.
My observation is purely based what I have seen in my eyes...

Lets see if Streak can work any magic on him, and with Pakistan's track record of making mediocrity look sensational, there may be hope for Abul

Abul just doesn't have what it takes to play international matches, simple is that. He is just not good enough.

National team is not a training place for a proven failure. If the coach works with him, let him do it during off seasons.

Funny to see the comment of the members from November 2012, from those posts it seemed that Abul is even better than Imran Khan and now his inclusion has resulted in criticism as if he is worse than Khaled Mahmud as a bowler..

I know. However what I have seen of him so far, I respectfully disagree with some of you ... he has some [potential and we need 2-3 more young FBs ready to come in and play to keep every one fresh. Unfortunately with our current infrastructure and pitch, I think it is wishful thinking to think that a young FB will figure it out all by himself with local coaches. Even with other national FB coaches, very few had made significant impact like our current national FB coach. That's why I am ok with the selection of Abul as most likely he will not play any of the games unless he shows something special in the practice. But Abul can learn and take that experience and shine further in local league.
Abul is your 14th player in the team. It doesn't matter who you pick (instead of him), he or his alternative will never play in the final 11.

Picking Abul was also one of the terms and conditions given by PCB that BCB had to fulfill .

I like Mahmudullah at the top, the new Mahmudullah anyway :P .. More so I like him cause he is from Mymensingh I've got few friends from there, my driver back home who has become like close blood, very much part of the generation, is from there, Lives in Sylhet along with his wife.
Always have been saying since 2009 or 10 to many of my close and distant friends, that Mahmudullah has the Technic to bat higher, his calmness impressed me. and at the top you need a calm mature head. HE is no big hitter, coming down the order, hitting from word go. Hence he is doing well, up the order, it took them more than 5 or 6 years to realize.
