Default Did you all know that Ashraful is an off-spinner now?

Ash is now both an off spinner and a leg spinner. If only he could be a real batsman!

http://www.prothom-alo.com/detail/da...26/news/111197

Afghans had ruled Bangla for 200 years and those 200 years were the golden age of Bangla. When a Khan would take a woman from a village as one of his wives, the whole darn villagers used to change their names to Khan and bream with pride(j/k). History books will laugh that the komor bhanga ailsha Bangalis will beat the mighty Afghans in anything.

he's been bowling off spin for a while now...2-3 years, occaisionally reverts to leg spin. he actually gets good turn, more than most of our specialist spinners. just puts the ball in 6 different spots each over.

i feel he should have sticked to his leg spin..we have many off spinner but no leggy..if he could have polished his leg spin a bit our bowling could have had some variation..

Ya ash is actually a very big turner of the ball. Problem is he flights the ball way too much usually so his type of bowling is good for an over or 2 but not for a long period of time. I think he should pratice his bowling more and try to be a late order batsman since we are lacking some big hitters.

The ball turns according to Ash's wish.
Leg or off doesn't matter.

Ash is a strange 'cheez' - he works on a reverse psychology. Ask him to bat well, he will bowl well. Ask him to bowl well, he might just start to bat well.

Ash does it his way - he sends the ball down without any rhyme or reason hoping it'll either spin this way or that. The thought process? It confuses the heck out of the batsmen cause if they can't read the bowler, they can't read the ball. Brilliant.

(the boy needs to get his head fixed, he still has 10 years worth of cricket left in him and what he does in those ten years is all upto him. I hope he is really coming around this time.)
