In the interview before the match, he said his main strength is his pace. I hope he makes the good line and lenght his strength as well. He will be deadly if he can control his line and length.

Rubel Hossain
It was his 1st international match yesterday and i have got 2 say he is 1 special player. At only 19 he bowls it faster then the best pacer in the country Mashrafe Mortaza...even though he just cleaned up the tail, he is extremely impressive with his short balls and I loved when he was getting Thushara annoyed with those dangerous short balls...I was worried about who could be a good new ball bowler alongside Mashrafe and even though it is early, I believe Rubel will be the next best pacer...

you just exactly expressed my words, which I felt today while watching Rubel bowling. But I believe he can overcome those problems by proper guidance also for sure he will get valuable advices and tips from Mash. He seems to be the one who will learn quickly, also we shouldn't forget that it was his debut so little bit nervousness and excitement had gone through over him. But I'm having feelings that he is the one we were looking for Mash's opening partner and he will pay off in the long run for BD.

Dish Rasel as much as you wish, all I see Smith looking back at the wickets and Rasel pumping his fist. He is the best consistant bowler BD had. Ei shob Shahadat, Nazmul, M Alam, Tariq Aziz, Dolar, Poisha kau ore keni angul'er shoman na. On top that he was left handed.

With a healthy Rasel in the team and when Rajjak improves his bowling action and if they're both in the form they were, I think we'll have one of the best ODI bowling line up out there.
Just think about it.
Mash and Rasel and Rubel as our pacers.
Shakib and Rajjak as our prime spinners.
Nayeem can bowl is on of our pacers are struggling.
I think that's quite a balanced bowling line up. Hopefully everyone can remain healthy and in form and we can see this line up soon.

I hate to be a downer guys, but you guys are taking that one win way too seriously. Lets at least first wait and see what happens in the final. As for Rubel thrashing Zimbabwe, you guys are forgetting that he already played them, just 7 days ago in fact...and HE was the one who got thrashed. He's an exciting prospect, but lets just leave it at that for now...

he's a good prospect who had a pretty good debut but don't expect him to be a "superstar" right off the bat, give the guy time to develop. i'm surprised that rubel has been given soo many opportunities in higher levels of cricket (having played soo little domestic cricket) and guys like subashis roy and robiul islam have been given barely any opportunities at the higher levels. i mean rubel isn't the only great prospect, the others also need the development, coaching and match play.

Woah this guy's already rated ahead of Shahadat and Rasel. I still say Rasel is an essential player for our team. Rubel looks like another Shahadat - but with a little more pace. Slow down fellas. Let's see how he does today.
